The Family Circle Cup annual tournament is just a few serves and volleys away in historic Charleston South Carolina.
Mark your calendar for April 10-18, 2004 for this major Tennis Tournament that offers much more than the excitement of watching professional women tennis players applying their skill and magic with a fuzzy yellow tennis ball. Due to the large amount of prize money available, this clay court extravaganza annually brings in major players. Last years winner, Justine Henin-Hardenne, is currently rated the world’s number two player and is expected to return and defend her title. Oh yes, for you male fans, Anna Kornakova should return again this year.
During the week there will be thirteen sessions to watch and there is a variety of ticket plans available ranging from single day tickets to full week packages. However, do not dilly-dally, the 10,400 seat Family Circle Cup stadium will sell out fast when tickets go on sell November 12, 2003. Located on Johns Island, the stadium is just a couple of returns of serve from historic Charleston South Carolina. Accommodations in the area range from comfortable and famous bed and breakfast homes to modern motels and hotels. Prices are all over the board but not as high as you would expect for a visit to this priceless historic area. Choices of food range from ‘good ole southern fried cooking’ to some of the best seafood on the east coast.
