5 easy décor hacks to completely transform your rooms

Have you grown a bit tired of your home? We all get to that point. When we first move into a property, and we put our own stamp on it, we love the different colours, fabrics and furnishings we have picked. Naturally, as time passes, and we see the same surroundings every day, we get a bit bored and uninspired.

Time for a change!

So whether you have decided to stay in your current home long-term, are upsizing, downsizing or even taking the plunge by moving abroad it's worth updating your home. Either for your benefit or to help you get a better price when selling your home.

This does not mean you have to embark on a complete makeover. Instead, we have five easy décor hacks that will completely transform your rooms, from using designer tiles to changing your doors. Read on for more information.

Create a statement wall

You can create a statement wall in any room, and this will completely transform the space. Accent walls have become very popular in recent years, with many people opting to paint one wall in their room an entirely different colour. But, why not add some texture into the mix as well? Wallpaper can look amazing and really make a statement.

Invest in a statement light

A statement light can become the focal point in any room. There are so many fun and striking designs on the market today. From chandeliers to pendants, you will have no trouble finding something that matches your personality and adds more character and style to your room.

Change your interior doors

Interior doors are something we do not tend to give a lot of consideration too. Most people will admit that their interior doors are somewhat standard and a bit boring. Simply changing the door to your bedroom can make all of the difference. Opt for something with a unique and striking design, and it will transform the feel of your room. Remember, this is the first thing people are going to see when entering a room, and so it’s a great way to make a fantastic first impression.

Lighten up your colour scheme

Dark colours may feel sleek and stylish, but they can make a room feel smaller and closed in. You can brighten up a room and make it more welcoming by adding some lighter colours to the mix. This is easy to do, simply change your cushions, for example.

Invest in a large wall mirror

Mirrors offer so much in terms of design potential. Firstly, there are some incredible mirrors on the market at present, boasting unique designs. A large mirror acts as a work of art in any room. But, it does a lot more than this too. It will also brighten up a space, making it appear bigger and more welcoming. If you have a small room or one that is awkwardly designed, a mirror can make it appear larger and more comfortable. When the light reflects off the surface, the impact is dazzling.

So there you have it – five easy décor hacks that anyone can implement in their home. These changes will make a massive difference without requiring a lot of effort on your part, or a lot of financial investment.
