This article ties together two high-profile Massachusetts murder cases. Mabel Greineder and Christa Worthington.
(He will slay thee down.) The 2002 Christa Worthington murder and the 1999 May Greineder murder. Two separate, high-profile murders in the tongue-twisting state of Massachusetts. Could there have been a serial killer link between them? Hmm, maybe.
Let’s construct a hypothetical bridge that fuses the two infamous Massachusetts murder cases with a person they both have in common. Junkie “escort” (a posh euphemism for dirty whore) Elizabeth J. Porter. She was a bit player in both cases and just may have been a vital, yet invisible viaduct that soared over everyone’s smug head like arrogant, old Icarus and his waxy wings. That can happen when one wants to rush to judgement in a seemingly obvious murder mystery case like Dr. Dirk Greineder’s or a brain-scratching, vacant, enigmatic case like writer Christa Worthington’s. Let’s shove it all into my groovy, 1977 La Machine appliance (a retro and obsolete food processor for you fledglings out there!) and see if I can reconstruct most of the pieces into the perfect, homicidal beast. It won’t be easy, so cut me some slack, all you cynical true crime infidels.
Both murder cases happened in the state of Massachusetts, not quite three years apart...
