In August 2013, my partner passed, and six months later, i moved to live with my eldest daughter and her family. This is a story written after some years living here... much has changed since writing this, but it seemed like a good place to begin with my newest AuthorsDen site.
These are interesting times...

These are interesting times.... macro/micro...

Here at daughter's homestead we’ve each been coming to grips with self-image and I know not to even try to guess or intuit about anyone else until I can see what I’ve not been See-ing in me.

Like, for instance, it had taken close to 76 years for me to begin to perceive my own ego and denials. What is noticeable to me and the family, is that I am now more gentle in word when telling what I think I see about a situation— a blind spot of mine!..

Far too often I had been simply intruding on their privacy. Lately I do wait to speak what I think until the question is asked. Lately also, I have become more relaxed, freed from the old compulsions to tell them what I thought they needed to know. It has made our together times a lot happier. In fact, I began to live my days as though I were ‘in charge’ –- though only of my own life path.

…life is good… …and I dance with life…
...most of the time….

JUST THIS EVENING, I was cruising along, doing my thing, when I heard a Snicker, soft but unmistakable. Most oddly it came from Within me, not as a whisper from outside my ears. It was almost a soft laugh…

Wait! There it went again, with more and I hesitate to write this, but it had more Breath… and was still inside my head but louder. I could feel love and sharing flowing with the chuckle.

"Balance… Balance!"
"Balance…Balance!"

Quietly I searched for the source of this lovely shared laughter… Mind’s Eye is on familiar ground here… one must stop See-ing what is known… and be open to See what IS, without an index to catalog… I’ve become fairly good at this in recent times…

I opened my Search into the What IS mode…
--and saw a shadowy flash of softly lit lower face, cheek, chin, lower jaw…

A closer look gave me a vision of Many Forms, blended together as parts of One.

Another snicker, this time giving me the knowing that I am now ready to hear this Understanding…

--laughing out loud with the joy of it, the pleasure in being here, in this Now.
Raising, releasing, I merge with Understanding #793—
I am NOTT in charge.
I AM Responsible.

Welcome back. We are both 81. I'm sorry to hear about your spouse but it sounds like he would just like well to becoming an octogenarian.

However, our paths are much different. I've never had an ego problem and I have no children. No family anywhere near, but a sister and 3 brothers, all over a thousand miles or more away. However things go from here now I'm content to stay in my house.
