(And the Turtles, and a Coyote!)
I have been living with, and mowing the same back yard for over twenty years. Animals would routinely scatter with a face at the window, let alone going outside. Shortly after posting my first article to the internet in over twenty years, that all changed. On 1/16/2021, I posted my blog return to the internet. Go to my blog titled “One More Outburst Like That and…” to read about the awesome, cosmic events attendant to my very first internet posting on March 26, 2003.
THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
2/3/2021
The eagle pictured in this article lands in my backyard. He nonchalantly mingles among the geese. After about 8 minutes on the ground, he looked over at me, and flew away. The next day, my best friend would lose his month long battle with Covid-19. His widow seemed to receive some consolation from the video.
I THINK I’M BEING STORKED
2/15/2021
As I am looking out the back window, a stork lands in the yard, and proceeds to walk up on to the back patio. I went out. While keeping his distance, he refused to be shooed away.
WHO IS IT THIS TIME?
3/27/2021
I stop at the stop sign at the entrance to my neighborhood. An owl swoops across my car’s hood and lands on the stop sign. Photo session ensues.
One might start to wonder about what’s going on?
I realize that the eagle and stork connect to the Revelation chapter 12 article that I was working on. In Revelation chapter 12, the woman is carried away on eagle’s wings, and she is pregnant (stork). But what about the owl? Beside symbolizing wisdom, there are a couple of Christian representations. Firstly, faith, because an owl can ‘see’ in the darkness (radar). Secondly it represents solitude. A few months later, I would come across an article through Spirit Daily. Seems a convent was robbed. All the criminal got from the safe was a note saying ‘repent’ and an owl figurine. So we have wisdom, faith, and solitude of the nuns.
SATAN TRIES TO PUT ME IN HAWK
Early May, 2021
A Kestral is seen numerous times on the telephone wires at my neighborhood entrance. He would often swoop across my hood. Ok, its now birds in general. I wonder what is the connection? As with many occasions on my journey, I would just have to wait for the answer to come to me. And not long.
5/19/2021
Article link in Spirit Daily appears titled “Mary and the Birds”. Seems there is this legend that Jesus sent close approach birds to Mother Mary to console her. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one informed of this.
5/23/2021
As I returned from my weekly duty of helping clean my parish church, I saw a hawk, on the ground, just down from my neighborhood entrance. He had killed the kestral. I stopped, got out and walked towards him. He flew to a nearby pole, and we glared at each other for a time. That afternoon, I was praying the Rosary at my bedroom window. I heard a metallic scratching that seemed to be coming from the center of the housetop. I continued praying. I then see out the window the hawk swoop down off the roof, and circle around the side of the house. He had been scratching at the roof top vent.
5/28/2021
New kestral appears at neighborhood entrance.
7/11/2021
Kestral flies off roof in same fashion, but without preliminary scratching.
BTW, THE TURTLES ARE FLIPPIN’ OUT
The summer of 2021 the turtle circus was in town.
1. While mowing the lawn, I spied an upside down, flailing turtle at the pond’s edge. I flipped him back over. He dove into the water. He got about ten feet, stopped, turned around and came back about five feet. He stuck his head out of the water to look at me. He then re-submerged, and swam off.
2. A few weeks later, I happened to look out the back window, and you guessed it. Same story.
3. A few weeks later, same story in the middle of praying the Rosary.
WILE E. COYOTE, SUPER GENIUS
7/24/2022
I’m praying the Glorious mysteries of the holy Rosary.
I am transitioning from the Assumption of Mary to the Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. I recall the reading for the feast of the Assumption is the Great Sign of Rev 12. It then hits me that the Coronation mystery relates to the Great Sign (see article about such, again). I then have a bit of a melt down, because these connections keep happening, and no one believes me. I then see out of the corner of my tear filled eye, a coyote exit the woods. He calmly walks around the pond and lays down in my backyard facing me. So we have confirmation and consolation at the same time.
I don’t feel like St Francis.
I don’t feel like Dr Dolittle.
Just incredibly blessed.
Update: Photos of the animals involved can be viewed under “News”
Update: There is now a sequel article titled OK, This Is For the Birds, The Sequel.
