This is a good time to take stock of the damage you’ve done this year, both to yourself and others. Hopefully, you may make a self- honest appraisal, and take a hard look at yourself.
The best Christmas gift you can give yourself, or those that might love you, is to stop using drugs. Or, if you deal them, stop it. There is no gift, at any price that will equal this, to your family. This is a good time to take stock of the damage you’ve done this year, both to yourself and others. Hopefully, you may make a self- honest appraisal, and take a hard look at yourself.
Since honesty isn’t present in you, allow me to act as your guide, on this interior journey. Here are a few questions you might ask:
1. How many people have you stolen from to meet your habit? Who? Mom, Dad, wife, husband?
2. How many lies did you tell this year? About money, drugs, or where you were?
3. Did you assault or kill anyone over drugs this year?
4. Did you sexually assault anyone this year? A wife or partner, in a drug induced haze?
5. Anyone OD from the drugs you deal? End up in a hospital?
6. Did you go to jail this year?
7. Did your child/children go hungry because of your narcotics?
8. Did you lose your family? Or have children taken away, because of your actions?
9. Did you contract AIDS/HIV, Hepatitis B or C?
10. Did you ever once this year, consider the damage you do to yourself and others?
11. How many loved ones wept, to see what you’ve become?
If you’re tired of being a parasite, of being a useless sack of toxic waste, you can make a change. It will take courage and commitment, something you’ve been sadly lacking in. Having to give up large amounts of cash, and actually work for a living, will be a new experience for you. Humbling thought. You’ll be just like most Americans, earning a righteous paycheck. What a concept! Of course you won’t be Big Man on the Block anymore. You won’t have much cause to shoot anyone. What a relief. But mainly, nobody’s loved one will cry in the night, because they died from your product.
There is a bright side to all this though. Guess what? You get to keep what you earn! Anything you buy is yours! From a store I mean. I know you’re used to swapping peoples valuables for your product, compassionate capitalist that you are. No boosting, no thieving. See, you can cash your paycheck, walk into a real store and buy stuff! WOW! No need to worry about phone police or undercover cops busting your sorry ass either.
You are certainly asking yourself by what right, am I writing this. By every right. Two of my own were led into the grave by your greedy cold hearted business. My country, which I love with all my heart, was wounded by people financed by your filth. And those who are addicted, please get clean, honest and sober next year. Life is too short, tomorrow isn’t promised. Carpe Diem: Seize the day. Make the changes needed to get yourself well. And if I can help, just reach out. I’ll be there.
