Halloween Tips For Kids:



Halloween Costume Tips:
Buy Halloween costumes made of flame retardant material. If costume is too long, cut off the length, or roll up to keep child from tripping. Add reflector strips on the front and back of costume, and a carry a flashlight.

Halloween Invitations:
If you are planning a Halloween party and want to make your own invitations try this: Use Orange construction paper to make pumpkin cut outs. Fold them in half and place in an envelope. You can pass them out to your friends at school. You could also make other invitations such as a black cat, or ghost.


On Halloween, take care to:
1. Cross at corners only.
2. Never walk between parked cars.
3. Don´t run out into the street, stay on the sidewalk.
4. Be extra careful around driveways.
5. When crossing streets, remove  masks.


Halloween Tips For Parents:
1. Have a nice family dinner at home, or by eating out before starting to trick or treat.
2. Always go with your child on Halloween night. Don´t send them out alone.
3. Have your child carry a flashlight.
4. Inspect all candy before you let your child eat any. Cut fruit such as apples, open.

Halloween Tips for Residents:
1. Remove any cords, garden hoses, etc. from yard to protect children who come calling on Halloween against falling.
2. Always turn porch light on.
3. Don't have dogs tied up in front yard.
4. Have leaves raked away from sidewalk.

Thrifty Costumes Tip:
Want to save money on your Halloween costume? Check out your local thrift stores. They not only have costumes but they have many pieces of clothing you can mix and match. Create your own costume by picking out odds and ends and don´t forget to add a hat.
