A sort of part two to Is the Federal Government Paying Attention.

Today I spent a few hours in my local police station to have reports drawn up on two cyber stalkers who recently latched onto me. One has sent me 58 emails within 3 days, the other, who is acquainted with him according to the emails, has sent 7. But in his defense, he only started yesterday. Don't you admire close friendships? Damn nut jobs.

The emails started out to be religious in context, then changed over to more dangerous writing, for instance: a call for civil insurrection. I wouldn't worry but I've begun receiving more than my share of hang up calls. And not electronic ones such as you receive from phone solicitors. I told someone yesterday to stop calling and they slammed the phone down in my ear.

How do they find you? Check some of the sites where you post a person's location--state--and up comes a physical address, phone number, and all kinds of goodies about that person.

See, the police made out a file, but there's not really much they can do unless the idiots show up at my house and I knock them unconscious, and I will, trust me. Or if I happen to get their real names and locations. So far the email addys are obscure. No big companies.

I wouldn't really mind that they are sending these emails directly to my email addy, but there are others on their mailing list such as Satan's site, Pagan path, Lucifer's Den. Not that I criticize these people because they're entitled to their beliefs. I just don't care to be grouped in with them.

So, Federal Government, here's two complaints in a row about the Internet. If any congressmen or senators read this, I'd sure appreciate a bit of action to protect people. Not necessarily myself, but others who are helpless. How about it, guys?
