A reason to appreciate life.

I think on Mother's Day, our children should be honored too. They're the reason we're mothers in the first place. All of the sleepless nights when they had colick, the illnesses and the constant changing of bed sheets. The trips to the doctor, to their football games, the dentist, to choir practice, to track meets, to speak to teachers during Parent/Teacher conferences. Helping them with homework; the chalk board in the kitchen for demonstrating math problems. Their weddings; seeing the birth of grandchildren. All of this built character and made us stronger. I honor my children on Mother's Day for giving me a reason to appreciate life.

To all of you mothers out there: I hope your journey has been as memorable as mine. If I had to go back and do it over, I wouldn't change a thing.
