Just clarifying a few things.

That article was meant for everyone of every religious belief. There's one God and we all worship Him in our own way. Whether you're a Buddhist, 7th Day Adventist, Muslim, Protestant, Catholic, whatever, no one religion is above another because in the end we're all seeking the same thing: A sense of assuredness in a world gone insane.
Wars everywhere. Fighting. Shooting. Killing. If we adults are upset imagine how our children must feel. In the past, we had prayers to hang onto. They gave us hope that a Higher Power was with us, in us; we weren't alone. Today's children, whether they be in the lower grades, teens or young adults have nothing but a sense that 'in a few I'll be out there fighting'. Hopelessness.
What we all need is comfort and reassurance in our lives. Our children do most of all. While prayers might not stop bullets, they do add hope.
Remember, when all of this fighting is over, if ever, and the young go on with their lives they'll step into a world inhabited sometimes by sharks. Becoming an adult and dealing with CEOs, bosses, buying homes, having families--just growing into adulthood in general--is a scary proposition. Having faith will give them the strength to do it all. It did with me.
