Hello to all the hockey fans out there and stand up and clap for a well earned victory.  When the Russians in a dirty and often illegal game beat the American, fans and players alike were heard to tell the Canadian players to kick the big "Bears" butt and we did just that.

In last nights game our beloved Canucks hit them hard, hit them fast, outskated, out shot and out scored the Russsians at every minute of the game. A nobler and more talented group of young hockey players there has never been. The Maple Leaf was everywhere last night and hockey patriatism filled the arena. If the Russians thought they were going to glide out on the ice and just pick up the gold they were sadly mistaken as Canada stole two goals only minutes into the first period. and except for the one fluke gold of the Ruskies dominated the ice till the final whistle.

Only one thing marred the victory and left a bitter taste that only led to more gloating at games end over our win and that was the Russians blatent disregard and lack of respect for the rules of the game and the rules of sportsmanship. I, as thousands others no doubt, watched in horror as the Russian goalie and three other Russian players viciously attacked with slashing hockey sticks the Canadian defenceman until he finally fell under there unslaught, the penalty---5 minute game misconduct. So in closing I just one to say well done Team Canada, we are "The Nation of Hockey!!!!
