4. We should be spending more time molding the clay... Put the truth out there and know you did your part.

7. Leadership is a gift to be able to touch the lives of others.

8. A leader is someone who invokes a desire motivating and inspiring others.

9. Leaders need to have a "vision" of what they want and then come up with a plan.

10. Lead by example.

11. Leadership is actively guiding other to realize their potential and helping teach them how to use it.

12. Leadership is a combination of motivating, coordinating, facilitating, and recognizing.

13. Leadership involves caring helping and encouraging others to exceed and expand their minds and experiences.

14. I believe leadership is the act of showing your community that you are here for them and want to make it a better place.

15. Leadership is the ability for one to represent a group of people in a well-mannered and mature way.

16. Selflessness, role model, inspiring, leadership is a great support system for a group of individual to accomplish anything.

17. Having strong leadership skills means that the person had self-confidence and believes in himself/herself.

18. A leader is someone who is honest with themselves as well as others. (Got to be honest ya'll)

19. People will watch the actions of a person who claims to be a leader.

20. Leadership is about assisting others not just yourself or being in a clique.

21. Being a leader includes making good decisions.

22. A good leader is able to teach, be a guide and help others in any way possible.

23. A leader takes good care of those that look to him/her for strength and direction puts aside his/her personal life for the sake of the people involved.

24. It's stepping out of the spotlight and letting the Lord lead and guide (In other words get out you and more into God).

25. It's loving what you do and doing it well.


The definitions of leadership can extend from more traditional ideas of power, authority and control to a more contemporary context of influencing, vision and moral leadership.

VISION--A knowledge of the future and the steps to get there

INTEGRITY--Dedicated to that which is right by all people

TRUST--Having confident hope

SELFLESSNESS--Not being selfish or self-centered....you have a concern for the welfare of others and put them first before yourself.

COMMITMENT--Something promising in the future or even at the presence...passion as seen through caring, concern, and building perpetuation

CREATIVITY--Being productive, originality, imaginative...full of hope, ideas etc.

OPEN-MINDEDNESS--Showing receptiveness to new or different ideas

TOUGHNESS--Strong-minded, a tough negotiator, able to get through despite any hardship that may come your way, enduring strength and energy, being big enough in spirit to take on the world and strong enough to see your hopes and dreams come to pass.

ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE-- The "physical", "mental", "financial", or "legal power" to accomplish something, acquiring power, having a special "talent" to do something well, having "skills" stresses ability acquired or developed through experience, being able to perform and do it well.

Exchanges of thoughts, messages and information that would benefit one's self as well as those involved. The intellect, character and skill possessed by any man are the product of certain original tendencies and the training which they have received.

ABILITY TO LISTEN--Being able to pay attention to and not always be the one talking all of the time

CALCULATED RISK-TAKING--Open to possibilities, questioning assumptions and taking a stand

INNOVATIVE--Being ahead of time...producing something never experienced or created before without fear of failure. Being very creative

VISIBILITY--Being able to see clearly..not allowing any obstacles to stand in your way. A made up mind

INQUISITIVENESS--Knowledge is "power"...always being eagered for answer. Don't just be curious do something about it. Act on it and do your research if you have to

INTUITION--First impressions are the ones that seem to last with the majority of us. If, you feel conviction in your spirit that you should or shouldn't do something follow through. We know right from wrong whether we want to admit it or not. We all have a conscience.

ACTION-ORIENTATION--To put in motion, willing to learn as well as willing to do something for the good of the organization

CANDIDNESS--Being honest and true
