I don't care how people try to doctor up this abominable practice saying it's innocent and not black magic but white magic. Black magic ......white magic....IT'S ALL EVIL AND OF THE DEVIL.

It's an abomination in the eyes of God so you would rather praise satan than Almighty God? Well, if this is true you and satan will be in one "HOT SITUATION" called the Lake of Fire.

Now, is it worth all that? You may think your "hot stuff" right now just keep on serving satan and you'll be hotter than what you think and will be for all of eternity. Think twice if your caught up in this mess.

Gospel Singer Fred Hammond said it pretty well on one of his C.D.'s "The enemies of God still hate God...and they don't care for you either." Now with all of that out of the way let's get down to meat of this message.........

Let's start by taking a look at our number one enemy the devil. The devil has one goal and that is to take as many of us as he can to hell.

In John 10:10-15 Jesus said this of satan:

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

1 Peter 5:8-11 warns us

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.



Now you might be thinking "Well, I know that satan is a bad and I don't want to have anything to do with him. So what does he have to do with all that other stuff?"

To that I would say that most of us would not willingly seek satan out. And if satan came knocking on your door saying "I am satan. I want to destroy you," he knows that most of us wouldn't let him into our lives. But satan is slicker than that.

He finds other ways to creep into our lives.

From the time we are children he is trying to make himself seem harmless to us. And this world plays right into his plan. Think about it.

From the time you are a child you see cartoons and movies with witches and ghosts, and it all seems innocent. Then when you get older you see all of the scary movies like Friday the 13th and Scream.

You pay good money to be entertained by watching people being killed because now you figure "it's only a movie." Satan uses movies, music, cartoons, video-games, whatever he can to introduce us to things that can take us farther and farther away from God and desensitize us.

And now that you've been primed and the world has gotten even more Godless satan has gotten even bolder. This sinful world that we live in is embracing the previously mentioned things and other bizarre practices more and more.

You can't turn on the TV without seeing a commercial for the psychic hotline. And all over the city are places where you can get your palm read for $5. And of course it is all under the heading of "for entertainment purposes only".



BUT HOW ENTERTAINING IS SOMETHING GOD STRICTLY FORBIDS?

Let's deal with this astrology.... How many people here at one time or another have read their horoscope? Maybe you read it regularly but you really don't believe in it. You just read it for fun. Does anyone know exactly what astrology is and what it is all about?

Astrology is all about the stars. The signs, Cancer, Libra, etc... are all different constellations. In Astrology you are looking to the stars for answers. You are observing the date and time of something (your birthday) and trying to tell the future by the stars up above.

But God does not want us to go to the stars for answers. And when you do that IT IS A FORM OF IDOLATRY. You are worshipping the stars.

Let's read what God's word says on this: Deuteronomy 4:19-20

19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

20 But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.



God is saying that when you put your trust in the stars which is what astrology is doing you are worshipping them instead of him.

And His Word tells us there is severe punishment for those who continue in this practice and do not REPENT:

Deuteronomy 17:2-6 " 2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,

3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and inquired diligently, and, behold, it be true , and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:

5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.



Back in the Old Testament times, we read that people who were involved in astrology would be stoned to death. God was that displeased with this practice. Today you won't be stoned but God is still displeased when you do it.

So if you've ever wondered "What's the harm in astrology?" the answer is why would you want to do anything that God's Word tells you is against God's wishes? Why would you worship or seek counsel with the created thing and not God our Creator?


Now maybe you don't read your horoscope but has anyone here ever been tempted to call the psychic hotline or have their palm read or a tarot card reading? Has anyone here ever played with a Ouija board? Whenever you try to learn the future, whether it be by your horoscope or viewing tarot cards or going to a psychic or a palm reader, that is called divination, and it is strictly forbidden by God.

As a matter of fact it is equal to witchcraft.

Let's read how God feels when we seek answers from men and women who claim to have some kind of power to tell our future.

Leviticus 20:6-8

6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.



Leviticus 19:31

31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.



And in 2 Kings 21:1-6, a king named Manasseh made God angry when he did these things:

"1": Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzi-bah.

"2": And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

"3": For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

"4": And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.

"5": And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

"6": And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.



Leviticus 20:26-27

26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.



These people who invite you to come to them to learn the future are either scam artists who are just trying to trick you out of your money, or agents of satan who are trying to entrap you and steal you from God and send you to hell.



Either way you should NOT BE involved with them.

The Bible warns us in Ephesians 6:12



12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

(Now read the entire set of scriptures for Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 10-18)



10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;





And we are so naive' that not only do we not fight against our enemy satan. We go right to his door and pay him to take over our lives. You have read God's warning against those who claim to know the future.

Lastly we wanted to talk about the dangers of using a Ouija board or participating in some other activity where you are trying to call forth a spirit(s). When people use a Ouija board, they are unknowingly calling forth demonic spirits.

When you partake in this kind of activity you are opening yourself up to possible possession by a demon or demonic influences.

In the Bible there are many stories of people who were possessed by evil spirits. We don't know how they became possessed but I think it is safe to say that demon possession is not something that just happened back then and can't happen today.

In Matthew 4:23-24 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.



And in Mark 5:1-9 we read of a man who was possessed with thousands of demons.

1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.



Why would you want to ever toy with powers of darkness? There is nothing "fun" about inviting devils in your life.

In conclusion I know that some of you maybe don't believe that demons exist. You might think still that all of this stuff is just in fun. That only proves that satan's plan is working.

The best way to conquer and destroy someone is to get that person to believe that you aren't a threat.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an ANGEL OF LIGHT.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works



Throughout these lessons on the occult you will see that there are a lot of things that this world calls entertainment that God calls evil. And if you are a Christian, you should not want to have anything to do with things that in God's eyes are wicked.

Psalm 101:1-8 reads

1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.



Ask yourself, "Am I participating in anything in my life that is inviting this kind of evil in?"

"Am I introducing my children to witches and ghosts and other things that are an abomination to God?"

Be careful about what you place before your eyes......

And be careful about what you let your children watch......

No one wants their son or daughter to be involved in witchcraft, black magic, white magic or anything evil. But when you let your son or daughter watch certain movies or cartoons or play certain kinds of games or read certain kinds of books you could unknowingly be introducing them to that type of element.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
