Saint Valentines Day? Again??? Gee...Valentines Day really sucks! I mean all those gooey candies and sickening roses and everything starting from patterned socks to those awful neon lights shaped in hearts can be really nauseating! Yep!!! Valentines Day is revolting all right...if you don't have a date or if you aint a sucker for romance.
And for those of you Romeo and Juliet’s who are going out on the 14th of Feb, what in the wide world are you doing scanning the newspaper?!.!#!!! I mean like don't you have better things to do? Like planning out Valentines Day?
Why am I doing writing? Maybe because I have nothing better to do or maybe a little bird came and told me that I could always share my ideas for Valentine Day. Interested?
If you ask me I think that your valentine's day should start by reading cute perky messages, so why don't you leave little heart shaped notes everywhere where you think they'll be found! Say like the bathrooms mirror, in a shoe, on the breakfast table, in the laptop, on the office computer, maybe slip some in the locker, (rather stick it on) on the cars windscreen or inside the car and if you are too sophisticated...just SMS some messages on his/her mobile.
Now everybody gives cards and those elegant long-stemmed red roses, you do it with a romantic flair!!! You don't have to use roses...use your valentines' favorite flower. Okay now, count back the number of days or months or years since love sparked between you two. (Try keeping the number between 3 and 30) Or maybe the number of dates you've gone out on or a number that's meaningful to both of you. Say the number is 15; in that case, get 15 cards and flower each (bouquets is you're feeling generous) and have them delivered one by one at a certain time interval. Just imagine how thrilled your valentine will be!!!
Some of you, knowing that your girl or boy friend will be your valentine, think what the point in asking? Some of you get all mushy and ask anyways...you be different! Why not ask your valentine in a way he or she will never forget...and nor will the world!!! Do something outrageous and wild like get a T-shirt painted asking, " So and so? Will you be my valentine?" and wear it around or have some banners made and hang them outside your valentines house, office, college or wherever. If that way too crazy for your taste send in a heart-shaped valentine cake during his/her working hours, while you lurk around the background and watch the love of your life get a kick out of it!
Dressing up for your date should be no problem. Wear something your valentine gave to you earlier on or wear a color that you know is his/her favorite on you. That should do the trick!
If you're picking up your date...do in style! Use means of transport that will make your valentines day, starting from a rented limo going on to a borrowed Harley Davidson! Yeah...well a horse aint a bad idea but it's kinda fetched...
Your dinner plan can vary from a candlelit table in an exquisite French restaurant to a romantic moonlight picnic on the beach or by a lake or a scrumptious self-prepared dinner with all his/her favorites as a special treat. Then maybe after having all this time by your-selves you can hit a couple of parties or rather throw a party in honor of your valentine with a red color theme. If you're good with words write down a poem to recite on the party and if you're a music person dedicate and sing the song that you both danced on the first time. Then you both can dance the night away...
At the end of the day instead of telling your valentines that you love them...thank them for loving you.
