Growing through and beyond Holy Writ

All scripture is a necessity. It is necessary to have a foundation on which to build your spiritual growth. Scripture -- all scripture -- is given for the benefit of Man.

Once you have gained the knowledge of a particular scripture, you are obligated to reach beyond that which you have learned and to continue in a closer pathway to GOD. Otherwise, that scripture becomes limiting, becomes an entrapment, an anchor that keeps you from soaring unto the heavens, where you will be at one with God. There is more to learn beyond that first page of scripture which you found so wonderful. It was wonderful, but page two is equally wonderful. There are limitless scriptures for you to read and learn.

You also have a personal contact with GOD through prayer and meditation. This is often more important than study. Neither should be neglected.

Scripture: wonderful stuff -- and is also a trap.

Scripture discusses salvation, and the way mankind accepts it. Various religions have their particular variations of salvation; ritual. definitions, requirements, etc. What is it? What are its results?

Salvation is basically a change in your innermost being, your core personality -- the inner spirit, the inner you.

YOU!.

Does God do it?

Yes.

Do you do it?

Yes.

It is for certain that you are involved - it is entirely your choice, and God definitely is involved.

The inner change is in your outlook on life, your philosophy of life, the way you see and understand things as they are, as they happen. The inner change often happens as a spontaneous religious experience; it also happens in a deep ritual experience; or, in some cases, it can be worked out through fear and trembling -- to use a phrase borrowed from some obscure religious document. Or a long gradual process, such as the one Buddha used, or an instantaneous occurrence such as you will occasionally see in present-day religion: they all work.

Whatever is required for you to reach your innermost being - the brilliant white diamond-bright light of God that lives within you -- is what you need for you to do to be able to unveil, and to reveal it to yourself.

You may think that I am be speaking in riddles - but there is an innermost core that can be visualized as a brilliant white or blue-white light, actinic in nature. It is there; it is eternal; it is elusive. To unveil this light, this innermost part of you cannot help but create a complete alteration in your personality. True salvation occurs when this light is allowed to shine forth.

This is the enlightenment that Buddha found so many years ago. Abraham found it 5000 years ago. It is the salvation that the Twelve achieved 2000 years ago. Jesus taught that the essence was ALL.

He was right: love will come forth from this light, and ultimately it will enlighten the entire world, and that enlightenment / salvation will come from many sources.
