The male body is an exquisite miracle that should be honored. I, for one, am so tired of the female body and it's glamorous position in our society. Give it a rest girls and let they guys turn it on.
Men need to take pride in their bodies and express their unique and beautiful form. I am a woman and when I see what is suppossed to be an attractive woman posing in a sexually expressive way I don't see the beauty, in fact, I think it's kind of gross but that's just me.
When I see the male form, I stare in awe at the incredible beauty of the shape, form and texture. It's not strength, power or any of those other typical male associated attributes that stand out, it's the sexuality, the passion, the way they are enjoying the way they look and sharing it with others, particularly me.
I can't describe how sick I am of having to see the female body sexualized all over the place. I can't go anywhere without being exposed to the images of scantily clad women posing in provocative ways. It's everywhere, t.v., magazines, movies, games, anywhere and everywhere. It just doesn't reflect what I want to see when I go out into our over-the-top commercial society.
It probably wouldn't bother me so much if men were given the same opportunity to provide me and other women with sexualized images of themselves. I wouldn't even see the female images anymore, they would fade into the background. Give me something to focus on that suits me and makes me happy. Yes, naked men make me happy, I like looking at them. They don't even have to be naked, just give me some passion and a peak at that chest and I may be smiling all day. I want the opportunity to enjoy the male form in all it's sexual glory. I want to see beautiful men, posing with passion in mind, not to show off their financial status or their physical strength, I want the real goods, the simple visual images of beautiful men.
Why shouldn't men have the same chance to make a living from showing off their bodies as women do? There's no reason and don't tell me there's no market for it, women are interested, we just don't admit it as easily, especially if we are in committed relationships. Give us time to honor the beauty, with tasteful advertising and some good reading material, a magazine for women that highlights the male body will sell millions.
But it's not just magazines, it's music videos, movies, posters, art, video games, all the same places that I'm constantly subjected to the sexualized female form. Give us girls the same thrill of playing beach volleyball with hot, naked, computer generated men.
Give me music videos where I get to watch tight, toned men wriggle and writh to the beats-hey, I'll watch, just give me a chance! I didn't watch Ricki Martin videos because I like his music but I did watch them, damn rights I did.
Will someone offer Brendan Fraser twenty million to do a few good full frontals in his next movie? Please.I don't want to sound desperate but I am. I need the sexy men of the world to come out of hiding and claim their incredible sexual beauty, share it with others, boy!
More men in Speedo's, more tight tank tops, extreme sports in bikini's, come on! I'm looking for the pleasure of watching the beauty of the male body being highlighted for what it is . . . a breathtaking miracle of sexuality and passion.

The truth is, other than the occasional Calvin Klein ad, we are living in a society dominated by the straight male mentality and their view of what is sexually desirable. Why is this? Is it because they are the dominant consumers and spenders? I could probably buy that explanation, except that the glut of womens' magazines, commercials and so many other aspects of our society make it apparent that somehow we've ALL bought into this notion that only the female form is sexy.
This notion persists despite ample evidence that men can be equally hot commodities. Why do most rock stars attract so many groupies, even the less-than-stellar-looking ones? It's largely because women in our society are starved for the opportunity to express guilt-free-no-strings-attached-down-and-dirty lust. And consider the obvious drawing power that actors like Johnny Depp and Lenorado DiCaprio have. Not to detract from their talent, but it isn't all about their acting ability, I guarantee you! We just love seeing their beautiful faces on the big screen! But I agree...more frontal nudity! Even my ex-mother-in-law (probably the most prudish woman I've ever known) once commented that she was tired of seeing only "butt shots." (I still remember her comment..."A butt is a butt." The whole attitude of our society can, I think, be best summed up by a guy I knew who once said, "When a woman takes off her clothes, it's sexy. When a man does it, it's just gross."
Ahhh, give me the days of the ancient Greeks, when the bod of a beautiful young male was a thing to be glorified, not villified!

Im a good looking(ish) 23yo man whos proud of my body n always felt it unfair that women can exploit there bodies but i cant. i wish there was more ladies like yourself who can be honest with themselves n say "i like looking at mens bodies".
Id like to congratulate u on ur article n hope some day there will b as much male nudity as female, n then all the critics who say that female nudity is bad will finally have to give it a rest.
