Do you want to live a long and healthy life? Or do you want die slowly and miserably?
To help you with this choice, I will tell you a little about how you can obtain and maintain good health.
My outrageous physical sufferings, obsessive readings and especially my recent discoveries have convinced me that we must always remain alert to what we eat and drink. And more importantly, what invisible, pervasive dangers might be around us that we must uncover and try to avoid.
Before I was thirty years old, I would always wake up very refreshed in the mornings. But then I rapidly developed severe sleeping problems. Even though I might be awake for only a few minutes, I would often feel so rotten during the next day, that I just I wanted to die. And I rarely dreamed anymore.
In retrospect, this was probably at least partly so, because my body’s toxin processing capacity had become overloaded. But no one would recognize this for many years to come. This was especially troublesome, because as a designer of buildings and highways I had to be able to think clearly.
Along with my persistent sleeping problems, I also did not want to be in certain buildings. I felt uncomfortable in them. And over the years, my discomfort began ever sooner, the longer I remained in such spaces. Even to the point of becoming panicky. Because of that, over the years I sometimes have had to leave even important meetings prematurely. But I could never be sure of the real causes, which would drive me to the outside, where I would find almost immediate relief.
However, I could not escape from the office of my last employer. That building happened to give me the biggest problems. And over the years I slowly discovered that it was one of the sickest buildings imaginable. So much so, that I even predicted that some of its long-term occupants would die of poison-related illnesses. Sadly, this proved to be correct, because too many of my co-employees have died prematurely from mostly environmentally-caused diseases.
Yet despite of my complaints about the intra-office chemical and dust potpourri, everyone seemed to be in denial about this. I even proved that the building’s automated fresh-air intake louvers had all been frozen shut for many years. But even then, no one bothered to repair them. Furthermore, I was subtly punished in different ways for my warnings about too many invisible hazards inside this building.
To make matters worse, this building had also been hermetically sealed during the man-made energy crisis in the early seventies. This helped concentrate fumes of methylene chloride from the laboratory, formaldehyde from repeated carpet gluing installations, blowing fiberglass, as well as many chemicals found in fresh paint, copiers, printers, etc.
Apparently I was the only one who suffered from these toxins, because I had been the only who had been sensitized enough to them so that my body could no longer deal with such chemicals.
Since I did not know until very recently that I had indeed become so sensitized during sometime during my life, I continued to assume that my continuing physical problems and anguish were caused by my early-life physical and emotional traumas, job stress, windowless spaces, unpleasant people and such.
My other subtle, persistent and long-term reoccurring symptoms were intermittent fuzzy thinking, slightly slurred or halting speech, and speaking words other than the ones I wanted to say.
But last year I happen to make a startling discovery from a Washington State Magazine research article. It talked about MCS, multiple chemical sensitivity. It said that a one-time large toxic exposure, or long term low-level exposures, can sensitize people to chemicals. Moreover, thereafter such people can develop persistent sensitivities to many other chemicals, even to everyday foods.
Therefore I researched this subject a lot. I found that many other people have such chemical sensitivities, and like I, can go on for years not knowing that they have it. Research indicates that chemical sensitivity presently affects at least 30% of Americans to various degrees. Their toxin-induced symptoms and illnesses can range from headaches to chest pains and depression. And much worse.
Many sufferers of chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, cancer, etc., do not know that their illnesses were initially triggered by man-made chemicals of which there are tens of thousands in our environment. Moreover, of the thousands new chemicals introduced every year, only about one percent are tested for toxicity. Many of these chemicals, by themselves, may have no or little effect on living organisms. But combining any two of them can cause a much greater effect than their sum effect.
Given the tens of thousands of newly-created chemicals in our environment, mankind will never be able to anticipate what their overall long-term affects will be. Nor be able to reverse them. Einstein said: “The world we have made, as a result of the level of thinking we have done thus far, creates problems we cannot solve at the same level of thinking at which we created them.”
In response to my recent letters in The Times-News about such subjects, one reader called me to thank me, and to tell me about her decades-long sufferings partly caused by environmental poisons. And partly because she also became sensitized to antibiotics and painkillers, she had to suffer years of unbelievable living hell.
Because she was slowly dying in spite traditional efforts to save her, she took a chance with newly developing integrated medical treatments. After weeks in an environmental medicine clinic, she slowly regained some of her health. During that time she visited with many other patients, some of whom were even brought back from near-death to an almost normal life. With non-toxic methods.
Because of her long intense suffering, she has felt compelled to warn and inform others about our nationwide poisoning problems and cover-ups. She gave me a copy of the book Politics in Healing: The Suppression and Manipulation of American Medicine. It was written by a former NY state assemblyman. Its ten chapters describe different methods of amazingly successful, inexpensive and non-toxic treatments for cancer and many other mostly environmentally-caused diseases. And the on-going suppression attempts of such treatments.
This book is definitely not about quackery. It even includes a foreword by, and a description about the healing of a former US congressman, Berkley Berdell. He was cured from prostrate cancer and other environmentally-caused diseases with such cause-oriented integrated medicine. Because of his anger and disgust with various taxpayer-funded agencies regulating, researching and promoting only certain treatments, while suppressing others that are more successful, he originated the ideas for the federal Office of Alternative Medicine and for Medical Treatment Act.
As I said before, the reader I talked about was helped being saved from certain death by MDs using both traditional allopathic and complimentary medicine. She recognized some of my symptoms and recommended that I should see one of her environmental medicine specialists.
Therefore I did. Recently this highly-trained physician quickly determined what some of my problems were: I am loaded with arsenic. Arsenic has often been called the king of poisons. I also have blockages in my autonomic nervous system, which interferes with messages between my brain and other body parts. In addition, I have a low-grade infection, which probably dates back to my severe chronic ear infections, compliments of the NSV, a Nazi organization, and subsequently, my extremely neglectful parents.
This infection might be the reason why I so often feel too warm, while everyone else around me seems to be cold. And no, I have always had naturally normal blood pressure. And even though my recent blood test for diabetes returned a negative, I often get very thirsty even though I use very little salt and eat little sugar.
When people feel healthy they do not seek advice until they get sick. Therefore they rarely seek advice about prevention of sickness. Prevention is much more important than curing. Our nation’s medical schools almost exclusively teach curing with traditional pharmaceuticals and little about proper nutrition and prevention.
Traditional medicine has certainly failed to uncover or permanently heal some of my health problems. For example, many doctors in three countries, failed to stop my almost life-long ear infection. After my initial life-saving surgery as a baby, I had two more, to cut infection-caused wild meat out of my head. For years doctors sucked pus out of my head and prescribed antibiotics to kill the bad, along the many different kinds of beneficial bacteria in my body.
But as I said before, we must always be alert about our health and our impact on God’s creations. We cannot entirely continue with traditional methods of healing, because thousands of unnatural chemicals and our modern-day lifestyles require us to find new options. And I have a good example of one option no one had ever informed me about: Only a few years ago my wife and I “discovered” a permanent drying up of my chronic little artesian well in my ear. It costs only pennies, and is so simple that it makes you want to roll on the floor with belly-shaking laughter.
After I had prevented my ear infection using this method for more than a year, I visited my long-time, pus-sucking specialist one more time. To confirm and show him that I indeed could prevent my infection entirely. And to make him roll on the floor, in agony, over losing one little, long-term source of cocaine payments. I do not know if he was on such, while he peeked into my ear for the last time with an impressive swivel-arm-mounted microscope-like gizmo. He peeked and blurted in surprise: “What did you do?”
Over the years he had also recommended additional procedures, which would have cost me thousands of dollars without curing anything. But, as he told me, risked paralyzing my face.
Really think about what I just said. Intentionally or not, my life-long anguish, embarrassment and expenses were not stopped by dozens of years of combined medical training, but by my use of cotton swabs, rubbing alcohol and white vinegar. Unlike I, you should not put swabs in your ear. I can, because I don’t have an ear in that ear.
Now back to Politics in Healing. Its back cover states that “hundreds of thousands are dying needlessly each year.” And right now. That means that going back to about the nineteen-twenties, millions of brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers have died needlessly, and too often intentionally. Right here in America. Therefore a few big industry sectors have a great self-interest to cover up this ongoing disaster and prevent the spread of competing methods and cures.
Don’t believe me? As I am writing this, a front page article in The Times-News today states that as lawmakers in about 20 states are pressing for ban on mercury in children’s vaccines. And I quote: “…they are meeting stiff resistance from influential health and medical organizations, including groups who get substantial funding from drug makers and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.”
It makes sense that some such organizations could face potential big financial losses and criminal liabilities. Like the tobacco industry, which for years made great efforts to cover up the dangers of smoking and then had to pay billions of dollars. It took powerful lawyers to begin saving many innocent lives.
What I talked about so far is but one example that our nation has a big problem with pervasive greed, power and pollution. And I learned from the Nazi regime, that the bigger a public problem, the more ear-splitting the public thundering silence can be about that problem. I pray that our collective silence will not end with our collective blood-curdling scream. One such experience in my life was more than enough for me.
I have learned that all of our bodies contain many toxins to various degrees. Many such chemicals are the causes of the many new-age illnesses, which did not exist when I was growing up in a nearly pollution-free environment and during an era of intense poverty.
Therefore you must always be active in your own health maintenance and inform others. You can begin your research by reading Politics and visit the Environmental Working Group Website at ewg.org.
Many people have told me that they cannot believe that I am still alive. And that may be, because I have always tried to pursue a very healthy life-style since I was so severely hammered during my beginning years. Therefore I again urge you to research, think, and be analytical about what you eat, drink and what you, or anyone else, do to your overall health.
