Reader Views would like to welcome Kenyatta, author of “Forever Sentimental Vol. III: Agape Love.” Kenyatta is being interviewed by Juanita Watson, Assistant Editor of Reader Views.

Juanita:  Thanks for joining us today Kenyatta.  We are very interested to hear more about your new book “Forever Sentimental Vol. III: Agape Love.”  Would you tell us what your book is about?

Kenyatta: Forever Sentimental is about using proven principles (wisdom) to weed away all the bad apples that often surface and often hinder the earnest journey to find real love. This clears the senses and clears the path for “Mr. or Mrs. Right” to be easily identified to come into our lives. If you think about it, today, or 10 years ago or a 1000 years ago, people are still struggling and dealing with the same issues when it comes to relationships. They are searching for love, celebrating love or recovering from a heart break. Forever Sentimental also helps those seeking love, and those already in love to uses the right words to edify their significant other and make them feel cherished over and over again.

In the Bible, Proverbs 16:24, states that “pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones,” and that is basically what my book represents. You just feel super good after reading it!

Juanita:   What inspired you to write your book?

Kenyatta: Love, it is the one thing aside from happiness that all people, regardless of color, gender, religion, origin or economic status, need and desire to have!

Juanita:   What does Agape Love mean?

Kenyatta:This is God’s Love - the word “Agape” is a beautiful word and concept often used in the Christian Faith.

Juanita:   Is your book directed at all relationships, or just romantic relationships?

Kenyatta: The spirit of Forever Sentimental can apply to any relationship, in that everyone tends to function better where they are treated with respect and good will. However we as people don’t tend to let just anyone into the intimate parts of our lives. Only an elite few have privy to this private part our lives. For this reason the book is for lovers, the lover one is and the lover one hopes to be. It is also for the hopeless romantic who are in love with love; the thought of it, the feel of it and the taste of it!

Juanita:   Kenyatta, you offer 49 life lessons in your book.  Would you tell us more about these lessons?

Kenyatta: Life Lessons are cautionary tales , directions and instructions that if applied and practically demonstrated, will prevent almost anyone from getting burned, used, misused or abused in a relationship or in the pursuit of one. Metaphorically speaking, think of a box of cake mix, on the front of the box is a picture of the cake (your goal) and on the back of the box are a list of instructions and directions one must complete to obtain the goal of a baked cake. If one follows those listed directions, one will obtain their goal over and over and over again regardless of age, gender, personality type, or race. If one applies the principles and instructions listed in the book, they will recognize unhealthy relationships before it’s too late every time. They will identify healthy relationships and know how to cherish and nurture them every time. The picture on the front of the box can be whatever one’s particular goal is, but the instructions on the back of the box are the road maps that lead to the goal. Every goal in life has its own set of instructions that are needed to obtain the goal. To get a college degree has its set of instructions. Losing weight has its set of instructions and conversely, finding and maintaining real love, has its own unique set of instructions.

Juanita:   What type of skills, guidelines, and strategies are you teaching readers?

Kenyatta: I am teaching people to recognize that “things don’t just happen”, we do things that trigger things to happen. I am teaching people to only seek and settle for the best in life, because once they have had the best they will feel cheated when anything less is presented before them. I am demonstrating that wisdom is better than experience. With wisdom one can obtain all the rewards of experience without all the trappings.

Juanita:   Would you say Forever Sentimental empowers readers to make better choices?

Kenyatta: If you had a refrigerator filled with food, but you never ate it, you could starve to death just the same as if you never had any food at all! Translation, yes, Forever Sentimental empowers people to make better choices that produce better results in life, but they have to put the principles to use! Who cares if you have it and you never use it! The purpose is to have it to use for your benefit, so that life as you once knew it is never again the same!

Juanita:   Kenyatta, would you comment on the poems that find their way into your book?

Kenyatta:They are pleasant words that aim to sweep the object of your affection off their feet, communicate real emotion and to create memories that will endure for life times.

Juanita:   What makes a good partnership and/or a strong relationship?

Kenyatta: There is no one thing that makes a good partner and what is and what is not a good partner is different from person to person. However, more times than not, there are certain qualities that must exist for “healthy relationships” and not just “a relationship.”

  1. Woman need to be and need to feel very valued, protected, romanced and supported. They want to know and feel that they are number one in their significant other’s world and that they rank far above any other women in their paramour’s eyes.
  2. Men need to feel purposeful, respected, valued and able to provide for the needs of the ones that they care for. Men also need to feel wanted and valued and many times this is gained through sex. That is why if sex is denied to the average man long enough he may feel rejected, inadequate and “less than” a man. Then he may feel the need to validate his worth in affairs or outside relationships.

Juanita:   Why do you think people find themselves in unhealthy or unsatisfying relationships?

Kenyatta: There are many reasons why people find themselves in unhealthy or unsatisfying relationships, but I will name common ones. Most people are not taking the time that is seminal to get to know the “real person” that they maybe interested in, in different settings and under different situations. Most signs about people are there in the beginning, but we as people choose to ignore them. People have an inmate need for companionship and this coupled with a fear of being alone, many would rather be in an unsatisfying relationship than none at all. Many people have voids, emotional holes and unresolved issues from their past and they are willing to get those needs met and voids filled, even if just temporarily, despite the risk or danger of who they get involved with.

Many people don’t know themselves and go from relationship to relationship, and they tend to select the exact same type of mate and they tend to get the exact same type of results out of each new relationship in a repeated cycle. Many people sabotage their own relationships, because they bring baggage, old hurts, and mistrust from previous relationships that tarnish the quality and hamper the growth of each new relationship.

Juanita:   What is the most common complaint you hear from people about their relationships?

Kenyatta: I am over 30 and I am not married what can I do to find Mr. Right? We don’t do the things we use to do?   I am lonely and looking for a sugar daddy or friend with benefits!

Juanita:  I have heard that Forever Sentimental really touches the heart of its reader, and that it will continue to have an effect for the rest of one’s life.  What are your thoughts on this, and do you think striving for love is a life long process?

KKenyatta: Forever Sentimental is a peculiar fruit. It is special, uncommon and rare and the super effects that it has on one’s life is proof in the pudding. At the end of the day the book stands on its own merit. This is a time in history where the book does exactly what it says it can do. Prove me wrong, there is nothing out like it! The messages and mantra’s are immutable and relevant for every generation and all times.

The need for love is just that, an essential need that everyone must have on a regular basis to function in a productive, stable and happy life. Striving for or searching for love for a life time is sad to me, because at some point, the idea is to capture that star called love. If decades and decades pass by and you are still in the same situation in your relationship that you were in 5, 10 or 20 years earlier then people have to do something different, because what they have been doing is not working! If they don’t get wise counsel then the cycle will continue to repeat and they will spend forever digging in ditches that don’t hold the treasure that they are seeking. Who wants to climb a mountain forever? At some point you want to reach the top. Who wants to stay in school forever? At some point you want to graduate with the diploma, the degree or the license.

Juanita:   Kenyatta, what is the underlying message of your book “Forever Sentimental”?

Kenyatta: Love is beautiful and everyone deserves it. Anyone can have it, but only if they follow the right instructions and travel down the right paths that lead to it. With it, life is more than wonderful, but without it, life is lonely, bitter, dark, unstable and plaintive. If you don’t believe me, look at the outlook on life of someone who is in love compared to someone who wants love but can’t find it or anyone with repeatedly failed relationships.

Juanita:  What is your background that imparted the wisdom you share in “Forever Sentimental”?

KKenyatta: The inspiration of God

Juanita:   Kenyatta, how can readers find out more about you and your endeavors?

Kenyatta:  Readers can visit my world and let me carry them away to a place in mind and imagination that is beautiful, better than good and more than wonderful. They can enter my world at my website www.Foreversentimental.com. They can personally talk to me. They can see shows I have done each year nation wide. They can obtain products. They can meet and interact with other members on my site known as Sentimentalists. They can receive personalized advice on a given issue or problem they maybe experiencing. The site is where burned lovers can vent frustrations, recover from rejections and heart break and rebuild a new, healthier and better them.

Juanita:   Well Kenyatta, you have certainly given us much to ponder regarding love and relationships.  Thank you for taking the time to talk with us today.  Do you have any last thoughts for your readers today?

Kenyatta:“There is nothing in life that is more precious than love, and the only thing greater than the confession of love, is the demonstration of love “
