Dear, Dear Misses Lemon, and Lemon and Lemon,

I am right smitten, yes; smitten…………you gals have my attention, for sure!!
Let me introduce myself. I am Rabbit (Rabbit ain’t my real name but most folks call me Rabbit cause I like to hop around and wiggle my nose, too. My Momma thinks it’s cute)! Anyways, I am Rabbit Beauchamps, and I like you-u-u!. You all are so-o-o delicious I just can’t decide who I like the best. Oh, go on now, and don’t fight over me cause, there’s 3 at home just like me….good news for you 3 gals that I have 2 brothers and we look alike, think alike, smell alike…I could go on and on but I’ll save it until we get eyeball to eyeball….you ain’t gonna be disappointed!
I think of you all of the time…when I’m cooking up possum and taters, I’m a-thinking of you….when I’m with my best pal, Ole Blue, deep in the piney woods, I’m a-thinking you, and when Momma is a-yelling at me and my brothers, I’m a-thinking of you! I know it sounds like I have a busy, exciting and high-strung life, but I always have time to think of you!
Me and the boys thought up a plan…..we want to take you gals somewhere real nice…..like maybe down to Kudzu Junction and chunk nickels at the Skunk Monument or to the big bridge over Skedaddle Creek and spit watermelon seeds as far-r-r as the eye can see! Momma will probably want to go with us…but that’s “ok,” she’s a whole lot more fun than me and the boys, just wait and see!
So you gals go and pretty your self up and be a-watching for me and the boys. We ain’t hard to miss. I’ve been a-shining up the log truck all morning…even bought a new door handle where yall won’t have to climb through the window. It’s gonna be fun-n-n!
