BEGINNING AND ENDING
When a child is born
All are happy
A precious child
Came into the world
A package from heaven
A joy in our time
She was the only one
who cried
God sent you from Heaven
To live a little while
To make others happy
To touch others with your love
Life was filled with joy
and suffering
Each day was overflowing
Much work to be done
Now you are old
Not so important anymore
You look back and say
Where did it all go?
You think about God more
You launched your children
You prepare to meet him
Will I be afraid?
He has been good to me here
I was successful, happy too
Will He be different?
I think not
He love me then
He will love me still
I come to the end
He pours His graces into me
I'm at peace now
I cannot cry anymore
I see visions of beauty
Those who have gone before
They talk to me,
I listen as in a dream
I await the coming
I long to be with them
Suddenly, I am there
All around me cry
But I do not, I laugh
I have defeated Satan
I have won for myself
A crown of roses
A place in the sun
I
I reckon in 85 years of living, you have seen the wonders of your life, your childrens lives, and the changes in the world. You have the gift of putting down on paper to be treasured by others.
