For Felix Perry , George Carroll and other Den Members who questioned me as to how I fulfilled my dream and conquered my life thru spirituality and thus became a whole person with satisfaction, peace and joy. Success at last.

                               BY   SPIRITUALITY

In answer to my friends in the den, my poems, 'Hiding Place'
and 'Dark Night Of A Soul', I wish to say I grew in spirituality by studying and changing myself. You cannot change another, only yourself. In relationships and marriage in particular each works on changing the other. This cannot be done peacefully because it ends in incrimination and accusations and thus the battle begins.

In my poems, the meaning of conquering self is in parables and is hidden deep within the poems. However, you discovered the true meaning but not completely.

After many years of trying to work things out in my marriage. misunderstanding grew, ill will lifted its ulgy head and we had to tear the blanket. It is impossible to grow in such a situation; I had to find a hiding Place.

Even as a child I found this to be true .You have to be who God created you to be. You have to stand up for your rights .Compromise, perhaps, but abuse, force, is always wrong. This is not love. We must not lose our idenity; otherwise we lose ourself.

We left our home country, France, England and Canada in order to be free. We are a people who believe in freedom. We do not believe in slavery. In some situations we can become slaves if we allow it to be so.

So I went on my own and claimed my independence. Women  are doing this more and more today because they realize the fruitlity of letting someone have dominion over them, as in the old days. Is it working out? Well, it is getting better and yet it creates some serious problems, particularly for the children. It is changing the face of America .

Some of my story is private as to how I came to know the author of my life .He stood by me and guided me all the way, but I had to give my yes and I had to do my part.

I became a Carmelite studying the great saints, staying to myself, praying  and visits with my community. .In this way I grew and grew, changing myself little by little and so now, I prepare to enter a new life. If I am permitted I will tell you what is on the other side. Amen  'lil flower
