A review of Button Magazine.
Button: Fiction. Poetry. Gracious Living. ( Box 26 Linenburg, Ma. 01462 USA) www.moonsigns.net Sally.moonsigns.net Summer 2003
This is the tenth anniversary of this small, hand-sized magazine. Just surviving ten years is quite an achievement in itself, but to produce a consistently lively and engaging journal for a decade is quite a trick. The poetry in this issue, as many of the others is well-crafted, and always includes a generous dose of levity. Take TESTICLES and POPSICLES by Ed Conti: " Now that I have your attention, I wish I had a poem." Quite a comment on "all that sizzle and very little steak" in the poetry world, no? Also in this issue is poetry by accomplished poet Jean Monahan, Tom Ehrenfeld, Paul Sohar and others.
