This proved to be one of the most challenging writes I have began to undertake. The reason is that there is so much to say and I did not want to become to wordy (if you know what I mean.) I welcome any feedback.

        We live in a nation that was founded upon Christian principals but it has become politically incorrect to pray in public.  Why has this happened?  Have you never asked that question?

        I firmly believe it is a combination of things.  Man has the tendency to question what he cannot understand.  The problem with the Supreme Being is that we cannot fully understand who or what God is?  We only know what we can feel, see, taste, or smell.

            The only concept of feeling we have for God is built on faith.  We cannot prove it but we can doubt it. 

         Part of the problem lies not with the non-believers.  It lies with those of us who profess faith in God.  Ask yourself a question.  Why do you trust in God?  Most of us want something from him.  The first concern is death.  God assures us of life… eternal life.

         If that is our only reason for believing in God we have fallen short.  The non-believer will see us as a group of individuals who are looking for a fairy god father… someone to magically relieve us of the burden of death.

        We also have been guilty of ignoring our founding fathers who purposely said there should be separation of church and state.  Have you ever asked yourself why?  I believe it is because they knew the two together can become lethal.

            Jesus once said you cannot serve two masters.  This could lead us to believe that our founding fathers made a mistake.  After all, if I serve Jesus Christ how can I serve my country when the leaders are asking me to break one of the Ten Commandments as a way of serving God and Country?

       Another way we as Christians have added to the calamity is by allowing ourselves to become so separated by different beliefs.  We all believe in Jesus but some believe you must show it one way while others believe it needs to be shown another way.   This separation makes us vulnerable to anyone who wants to cast dispersions.

        I would be lead to suppose that this is what Jesus meant when he warned us there would be a falling away from the truth.  It’s not just the outside world that has lost sight.  It is also many of us who profess Jesus Christ and a firm faith in God but challenge anyone who has a different viewpoint as to how he should be worshipped.

            Jesus said, “Love ye one another.”  That means forgive and more importantly have enough humility to recognize another persons right to worship as he feels lead by God to do so.

       If we are trying to mold God into a form we can comprehend… we fail!  We must expand our minds and open it to the possibility that God is more than man can even begin to understand.  He is not a figure… he is the very force that created the universe and all that is in it.  God is all around us.  Don’t make him smaller than he so he becomes easier to see.  See every small thing in the world as a part of God.
