Attention Wannabe Authors
Attention Wannabe Authors -- This is the payoff for getting published: Here's an excerpt from an email I recently received from my new best friend (used with permission):
"I think I have found a new favorite author. I started Fast Track yesterday and finished it today. IT WAS WONDERFUL. Lark is an interesting character and I find it hard to believe you, as a man, have such insight into the feminine mind. I was once just as naive as Lark and, honestly, I’ve never seen that innocence portrayed as perfectly as you have done. I know they say write what you know so how you 'knew' Lark so well amazes me....I could hardly put it down....You are a talented storyteller. I’m off to buy the rest of your books. As it turns out, I have been writing. ENEMIES DOMESTIC, book 6 in the Lark Chadwick series, will be released in late July 2024. I'm editing galleys and working with the publisher (Speaking Volumes) on the cover design now.

I have only tried it in short stories. Never writing from the viewpoint of a protagonist in a series like you have.
It sure is great when someone likes your writing so much, they buy all of your books. I've had that happen, too, and find it very encouraging.
