Rapper/bestselling author C-Murder will be making his stop in Mississippi to promote his new book DEATH AROUND THE CORNER. Growing up in the New Orleans in the notorious Third Ward, Corey Miller (aka C-Murder) turned his life experiences growing up the in projects into music.

Miller made his musical debut in 1995 as a member of the group TRU. Other TRU members included his brothers Percy and Vyshonne Miller. The two are better known as Master P and Silkk the Shocker. Soon after No Limit Records was created, they went on to produce mega hits such as I'm Bout It, Bout It (TRU), and No Limit Soldiers II.

With a long list of hit artists and albums, No Limit Records was a major driving force, effectively getting the music industry to pay attention to the South.

Miller has been on house arrest for the 2002 murder of 16-year-old Steven Thomas, who was short in the chest during a brawl at nightclub in Harvey, Louisiana. However, Judge Martha Sassone allowed Miller to continue to promote his projects while under house arrest.

Death Around the Corner is the compelling story of Daquan Watson; a young boy who is raised by his grandmother after his father is arrested for murder. His life journey takes him from surviving in The Calliope, a notorious project in New Orleans, to the Scotland Correctional Center for youth and ultimately to pursuing his dream of becoming a hip hop artist.

It is his dream to become a hip hop artist that encourages him to take responsibility for his actions and his life. Daquan's goal is to build a future with a major rap label located in New Orleans, LA. However, this process is difficult. Not only is he worried about his homies in the CP3, but he also has to question his true nature.

The Conversations Urban Teen Society (C.U.T.) a group created by Conversations Book Club founder, Cyrus A. Webb, sponsors The Death Around The Corner book tour.

The C.U.T. Society is a group that discuss books that deal with real-life issues that face many youth who are living in the inner city. The group is open to young men and women ages 17 and older who have an open mind and the desire to see positive changes in their communities.
