The Manson Murders were the most brutual murders of the century ...

El Coyote is the restaurant Sharon Tate and her Friends ate at the night they were murdered.

Sharon Tate was born, Jan. 24, 1943.  Her comedic performances hailed her as Hollywood’s promising newcomer.  She appeared in fashion magazines as a model and cover girl.  She was married to Roman Polanski and the couple was expecting their first child.

On August 8, 1969, she was two weeks from giving birth.  Two of her friends, Joanna Pettet and Barbara Lewis met her at her home for lunch.  Her husband was delayed in London and wouldn’t be home until the following day. 

In the afternoon, Debra, Sharon’s sister called to see if she and their sister Patti could spend the night.  Sharon said she was tired and told them she have them over another night. 

For dinner, Sharon went to her favorite restaurant El Coyote with Sebring, Frykowski and Folger.  They returned home about 10:30.

During the night, they were tortured and murdered by members of the Charles Manson “family.”  Steve Parent was shot to death in his car, which was in the driveway.  Tate and Sebring were found in the living room tied together by a long rope that was also tied around their necks.  On the front lawn, the bodies of Frykowski and Folger.  All the victims were stabbed numerous times.  Tate was stabbed sixteen times, five of which were fatal.

Three years before Sharon Tate was brutally murdered, she was spending the night at a friend’s house.  She had a strange vision—a ghostly image of a blond woman tied up and lying on the floor.  Could she have seen the horrific fate that awaited her?

The house where the murders took place no longer exists. Charles Manson and his “family” are serving life in prison.
