One of my girlfriends, who is in the peri-menopause stage of her Whatever! Journey had me laughing hysterically the other day. She told me her mood swings and hot flashes made her want to trade her husband in for food stamps!!!
I thought to myself, “We’ve all probably had a moment or two when someone caught us off guard while we were commiserating in our “own private summer.” In my case, my husband is usually the VICTIM!
I was actually in the shower when I came up with the idea of “12 days of a Menopausal Christmas”
Here's a sample:
"on the first day of christmas my true love gave to me---a headache 'cause he wouldn't shut up!
on the second day of christmas my true love gave to me---two aspirin for a headache 'cause he wouldn't shut up!
on the third day of christmas my true love gave to me---three morphine taps, two aspirin for a headache cause he wouldn't shut up!
on the fourth day of christmas my true love gave to me four blank checks, three morsphine taps,two aspirin for a headache 'cause he wouldn't shut up!
on the 12th day of christmas my true love gave to me---12 pints of gin...."
This is probably the MOST CREATIVE work I’ve ever done but I’ve got to tell you, I can’t sing a lick!
And as one woman who already purchased the download said after she heard it,
“Beverly, you’re a hoot!”
You know what I have to say to that?
WHATEVER!
And let me know, am I really a “hoot”? And what is that actually???
