The President speaks with forked tongue ... again.

In a brief five years, not only has George Bush squandered the grand nature of the great secular state that Jefferson and Madison worked so diligently to carve from the decadent pieces of the European sectarian empires of the past two milennia, he tears asunder the entire meaning of any word in the English language he hits upon which might do injustice to whatever cause he is currently engaged. This brings me to the illegal immigration dilemmna and his rantings about a work program for the illegals to allow them to become citizens without granting them amnesty. An oxy from a moron if ever I heard one. 

Mr. Bush said, it was not granting amnesty to allow illegal immigrants who have been here for several years — working, paying taxes and learning English — to get in the back of the citizenship line after paying a hefty fine and back taxes.

Now unless I'm mistaken, the citizenship line begins with the person taking the appropriate steps to LEGALLY apply for the citizenship route through the required embassy back in the country of the applicant's origin. So that is where the back of the line is, not here in this country, at the end of the bribe line (paying fines and back taxes) becoming a voter on the GOP rolls.

On second thought, maybe he is right about what he is proposing not meaning amnesty after all. It is probably more akin to blatant vote buying with the public treasury as the government picks up the unremunerated costs of the new citizens. So in a way he is being more honest than we thought with the little word, "amnesty." But in another way, this word is hiding a far more sinister action. Considering the other irresponsible things he has done with the treasury, (-5 $TR over 10YR) such a thing is not too unexpected.
