The case for stricter laws and restructuring government assets are on the rise.....

      This is a small article that I found in my local newspaper. Although it is a small article, what it represents is enormous.

      Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - "Immigration legislation that would end public benefits for illegal immigrants and punish employers who hire them was approved Wednesday night February 28, 2007 by a House committee and sent to the full chamber.

      Among other things, the measure would:

      1. Restrict eligibility for state driver's       
          licenses and identity cards to citizens
          and legal immigrants.

      2. Require state and local agencies to verify  
          the citizenship and immigration status of   
          applicants for state or local public benefits.

      3. Require public employers to verify the  
          work authorization of all new employees   
          with an electronic employment  
          verification system.designated by the 
          state."

      The concerns of communities are finally being answered, even though it must be accomplished one community at a time. I for one am very happy to finally see this happening.
      No, I am not, by any stretch of the imagination against immigration. What I am against is illegal immigration and always will be.
It is an insult and an affront to every legal immigrant who has come here through all the necessary channels to be a productive citizen in our country.
