Getting into United States takes on sense of urgency as Senate debates overhaul.......

    Just could not resist once again! On the front page of one of many local newspapers I go through each morning, there it was again!!! Another article written with regards to the illegal immigrants stepping up the pace to sneak across our borders for their own selfish gain.
   Most are not the least bit interested in how they are hurting this country either. They all repeat the same phrase over and over again. We are just looking for jobs to support our families. Understandable on the surface, but it is what lies beneath the surface. Most are completely disinterested in the harm they are causing. The stress they are placing upon our communities, schools, hospitals, welfare system, to mention a few.
   "Javier Soto's anxious face tells the story. He has to get to Waxahachie, TX where a construction job awaits him. But more important, he has to cross the Rio Grande before "the door closes" on him.
   The quicker he gets into the United States, the better his chances for "obtaining a permiso," said Mr. Soto, 20, a native of El Salvador, who like many other immigrants is closely following the United States Senate debate on overhauling the nation's immigration laws."
   In one sense, he is absolutely correct because it is the businesses who are feeding into this never ending problem. Yet, they are all crying and whining about their precious profit margin!
   Jobs, once respectable means of employment, have concluded they can all increase their profit margins by offering less in salary and eliminating the many benefits that were once abundant in this country. You have to wonder every time you hear how these illegals are here working at employment that WE Americans are no longer interested in.
   You know as well as I that this is not necessarily true . Employment as construction and others that once paid a decent wage has been reduced to just above minimum wage. There is a reason why we have turned away from so many jobs. Employers have decided that offering cheap wages and no benefits is more worth their while.
   Of course, at the same time they run expensive ads via the radio, television and in print through magazines and newspapers hoping we will still sustain the buying power we once had. Could we say that the corporate world and their CEO's, CFO's have become "greedy fat cats" at our expense?
   Yes, my first thought each morning is to run out to the stores and buy as much as I can to support a business who has turned against me!
   "We have to seize the moment because the last time immigrants were given an opportunity I was only a year old," he said.

   Let me see now, the illegal immigrants have a RIGHT to sneak and sleeze their way into our country, but we do not have a RIGHT to tell them to leave?
   Many immigrants from around the world go through the trouble to enter legally, but if you are successful in slithering across the border you have a RIGHT to stay here.?
   They flock in droves at our public schools in the hopes their children will receive a good education, right? Yet they do not concern themselves as to what it cost to keep our public schools running. Nor do they concern themselves with who is footing the expense, such as taxpayers and property owners. There is an attitude going around that if you are an American you are rich and therefore can afford the expense of taking care of us! Oh, really?
   They flock at our community hospitals around the country and expect to receive top medical assistance for a fee of zero. They get what they need, walk away and do not concern themselves with the cost of anything. Their only interest is with themselves and their families. Well, I got mine is the attitude and they do not care at all what happens to any of us. Is this right?
  "But once you get there (slithering across our border" anything is possible," said Manuel Tunches, 24, a tall, wiry man for Guatemala. "the critical thing is getting across. If I do not get anything, I will still work until there are no more jobs in the United States. Behind us are trains packed with more Central Americans. We are coming because there are jobs for us."
  "Others expressed more of an interest in obtaining temporary worker permits than in applying for citizenship because Americans want our sweat, our hard work, but they do not like us," said Carlos Barrera, referring to what he called an anti-immigrant mood among Americans."
   Therefore, they are admitting they have no intention of becoming productive citizens in this fine land. They only want to enter by slithering across our borders, rape the land and leave when there is nothing left for them.
   So tell me something. When all these businesses begin to go broke because the illegals they so desparately wanted do not buy their products they are producing what are they going to do? Will they all have to slash the selling prices by two thirds to match the salaries they are paying to the illegal immigrants they were so gracious and hot to hire? 
   Will they go out of business because their warehouses are full of products that are occupying space on dusty shelves with no movement in sight? Perhaps then they will see how short sighted and greedy they were, all when it is too late.
   Well, something to ponder over for the future of this fine country.
