“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” (Psalm 84:10). The house of the Lord is defined as a building, a structure that is identified as a church. It is a holy place for gathering to praise and worship the most high God, El Elyon. Many may enter with a heart to stay, but plots, plans, and schemes of the enemy will reach to draw and entice them out with devices of the world system, causing a loss of focus.

            God has constructed the Body of Christ as many pieces to one gigantic spiritual puzzle, each part completing the assignments for the ultimate purpose of salvation. The church is called the Body of Christ and is made up of individual members who must do their part to be in harmony and cooperation with others for the success of His vision. There are many who are on assignments to a particular house for a season and others who will remain permanently. Those who are on assignments, temporary or permanent, are employed for specific tasks to be undertaken under the watchful eye of God. If you have a temporary assignment, God and the leadership that you are submitted to determine your season of departure. Permanent assignments are pillars that walk with unique dedication to the fulfillment of the vision of the house.

            Pillars are “fastened as a sure nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.” (Isaiah 22:23). The vision for the house of God is engrafted into their spirit to have an earnest expectation of the manifestation of all that God has spoken concerning the house. This special crew of forerunners is to assist the Apostle and Pastors with the kingdom building process. The pillars share in the “prophets reward” by sharing in the labor and support of the building process of the ministry to which they have been called and planted. (Matthew 10:41)

Problems arise when the enemy deceives through his many tactics to cause a drifting away and even a sudden departure. The most common tactical maneuver is the spirit of offense. Offense moves you out of spiritual right alignment. This spirit will get you off of your assignment to lead you to an incomplete end, failing to reach the destiny God has planned for you. A note of caution to the pillars; jumping from house to house will not assist you in finding your place. Beware of sowing “seeds of discord among the brethren.” (Proverbs 6:19). Do not let the enemy use your mouth against the leadership. “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” (Psalm 105:15). Once you have rejected the fellowship, do not reach back in an attempt to recruit followers. The vision for the house will continue as the leadership has received the mandate, the orders from the throne room of God.

The Old Testament describes the families of the Levite priesthood that were chosen and dedicated to special functions of caring for the Tabernacle. The sons of Gershon were in charge of the tent, the covering, and the door. (Numbers 3:25). The sons of Merari were in charge of the boards, bars, pillows, and sockets. (Numbers 3:36). The sons of Kohath were responsible for the most holy things, the ark, table, candlestick, vessels and altars. (Numbers 3:31). Although the Kohathites were entrusted with the most holy things, they were not allowed to pack and unpack them, because they would die. This responsibility was for Aaron and his sons. Everyone knew his responsibility and function that was ordained by God.

You will have a heart for your house when you receive the revelation of being divinely appointed to a ministry to exercise the gifts that you possess. Even though the gifts and calling are without repentance, they do not belong to you. (Romans 11:29). You are just a vessel, jointly fit together to work and supply along with others, becoming mature in the building of the kingdom. (Ephesians 4:16). Be diligent in seeking the Father’s heart to be obedient as there is much reserved in your name, hidden deep, and yet to be release for use in His house. Guard your heart and your commitment to those who you are linked for destiny.

“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth; some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified for the master’s use and prepared unto every good work.”
