Mail is delivered on a daily basis except Sunday to our mailboxes near the end of the road, which are set in the path to make it easy for the postman. There are many of us that have post office boxes set up for security reasons so that our mail is not tampered with. But the reality of this is that we receive mail physically and spiritually that does not belong to us. Upon receipt of the mail that has another person’s name and address on it, we immediately place it back in the mailbox and write wrong address and return to sender. If we can do this physically, we can also do this spiritually.

            There are many things that the enemy tries to deposit daily in our spiritual mailboxes. Your mind is a spiritual mailbox and in the position to receive all types of deposits in many forms on a continual basis. We must have the mind of Christ to cast down every vain imagination that the enemy would use to come against the truth of God’s Word. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (II Corinthinans 10:4-5 KJV). “We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.” (II Corinthinans 10:4-5 NLT).

            The mind is an assembly line processor, just like a computer. If we allow the seed of the enemy to be planted, it will go through the process until completion unless the truth of God’s Word is in place firmly rooted and grounded to counteract the deception. The Holy Spirit must completely engulf you, your thoughts, and your total being for you to become the extraordinary vessel that is continually being molded so that revelation will increase and the manifestation of His power and glory will be revealed.

            The enemy has gotten a clue that the most powerful tool that we posses is our thoughts and imagination, as we are the expression of God on this earth. We must be “renewed in the spirit of our mind” daily. (Ephesians 4:23). Through the rebirth of our spirit, we have His spiritual DNA, now we must have His mind and His thoughts as well. This can only be developed through constant reading and mediation of the truth, which is God’s eternal Holy Word. “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (Isaiah 40:8). ”

            Nothing that the enemy says or tries to deposit into you box can stand or even come against the Word of God. The mind is the entrance point for the seed of thought. It travels to the heart, which is a womb that will birth out the thought. From that point it builds until it reaches the mouth and is spoken into the atmosphere, “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (Matthew 12:34). It is your mouth that creates atmospheric conditions and provides the door for the enemy to enter and work.”

            In essence, we must be diligent and constant not only in reading and meditating, but also digesting the Word of God. Digesting the Word breaks down the composition of the elements to extract those ingredients for absorption that are necessary for the function of the system of our spirit. The engrafted Word becomes a part of us to combat and annihilate those thoughts that the enemy attempt to use to create a war zoned in our mind.

            Anything that is not from the Father, does not belong to you and has been planted in your mailbox, needs to be returned to the sender, the enemy. Send back every worry, fear (false evidence appearing real), oppression, depression, sickness, infirmity, disease, poverty, lack, bondage, rejection, error, envy, strife, confusion, contention, division, lust anger, selfishness, idolatry, witchcraft, fornication, hatred, jealousy, and all the other devices and strategies that the enemy will attempt to plant to booby-trap you. His purpose is to “steal, kill, and destroy” what God has for you and keep you from your divine destiny. (John 10:10). Read your Bible, your title deed, to know the promises of God so that you will know and discern the tricks of the enemy. Know what belongs to you and what does not. Know that the price that was paid for your redemption, was the precious blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God. Know that you are an overcomer, by the Word of the Lamb and your testimony, your spoken declaration that He is Lord. Just as we watch for the postman, watch for the attempted delivery of the enemy. Return to sender, address unknown.

“So, my very dear friends, don’t get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatures.” (James 1:16-18 MSG)
