Preparing For The New
This is a journey that began with me right after Passover. As I was reading in chapters 1 and 2 in the book of Acts, I was provoked to prepare for something new. The Apostles were following the instructions given by Jesus in the last chapter of Luke to tarry in Jerusalem “until ye be endued with power from on high.”(Luke 24:49). They waited for the promise of the Father, preparing and not knowing or understanding what was about to occur.
So during this time from Passover to Pentecost, as I began to prepare and I thought that the preparation would end at Pentecost, but it will continue. Since the occurrence of the 1st blood moon on the date of Passover, there has been much speculation. As this was an unusual event that I was able to experience, I was provoked to prepare for something. Whether spiritual or physical, it did not matter. For what? I did not know, but I knew something was going to happen.
“Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” (Isaiah 42:9 KJV). The blood moons and their dates are significant by the fact that they are scheduled to occur on the same dates of two Jewish holy feasts. For those of us who did not know, the blood moons have occurred previously with the same pattern. As God allowed me to experience the 1st blood moon, I am convinced that this is an expression of something momentous and consequential. The dates of the blood moons will continue and coincide with Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles in 2015. Nothing just happens!
This preparation time is the foundation of what will usher one from one place to the next. In other words, I do not want to be in the same place in the spirit by the time of the next blood moon. I am in a sense of continual preparation.
First in preparation is the mind. We must think differently in this season. Everything begins with a thought. Our minds have been flooded with every experience based on the world system instead of the Kingdom. The introduction to the Kingdom came with the introduction to Jesus Christ. The reality of the truth, which we get from the Word of God, wages war for our freedom. The enemy is constantly injecting thoughts attempting to counteract and counterfeit anything that we mediate on from the Word. He knows that our thoughts are powerful and contain creativity.
“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” (Matthew 6:25 KJV). There are three words in this verse that are very important – take no thought. These words indicate that thought are given or sent. Do not receive, ponder or even mediate what the enemy sends. They are distractions, patterns of his purpose to confuse and pervert God's purpose. Cast them down and out. They come to interrupt and hijack the download from the throne room. It is the same trick that was used against Adam and Eve creating doubt in what God said. Allow God to impregnate your thoughts to duplicate His mind instead of the enemy.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19 AMP). The mind will wonder and question 'what is the new thing'? Whatever it is it cannot be defined in the natural by a precise label. Be rich in your faith and chose to believe that whatever it is that you will be a part of it by having absolute trust in His power and authority. God has determined the times before appointed. Do not reason as this is an attempt of the enemy to program your thought against what is occurring. Faith is not reasoning. Let your faith take you a place in God that you have never been.
During this time you will have to guard your association. You may have to let go of some people. You are in transition. You are in preparation for the limitless, surpassingly, awesome unknown revelation from God. Your thoughts about God will not be the same in this season. He has waited for your maturity so that you can partner with Him.
Some may not understand and will critical. “Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the Holy Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny. (1 Corinthian 2:10 AMP). Launch out into the deep and extend beyond the surface. Use your faith to accept the invitation if given, to unlock the door. All of heaven is waiting and watching for you to get ready and be ready.
"You have heard these things foretold, now you see this fulfillment. And will you not bear witness to it? I show you specified new things from this time forth, even hidden things kept in reserve which you have not known.” (Isaiah 48:6 AMP).
