Have you ever considered that God may want you to be still? The pace of the world keeps us in a constant race with constant distractions that erode time spent in His presence. At times, our constant movement gets in the way and hinders what God is doing. Currently, with all of the turmoil and signs that have appeared, we need to “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10 KJV). The enemy many have raised himself up against you in many situations, but know, recognize and understand that our God will fight for us and there are sometimes that the battle belongs to Him so that He can display His glory in the victory. Our God does like to show off. He likes it when there is an extremely difficult situation for His children so that He can step in and annihilate the strategy of the enemy for the victory.

            Rest is the absence of motion. It is to be quiet and be still, which is hard to do. There is a rest for the people of God who are in relationship with God. It is a covenant relationship because of the blood of Jesus Christ. God is at rest because He has completed everything concerning us. The access into that which has been completed is through Jesus Christ. “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by through Me.” (John 14:6 AMP).  The enemy does not want you to rest because he has planted things in your belief system prior to the salvation to come against the Word of God which must find a place within for you to enter into the rest. “Every plant planted by someone other than My heavenly Father will be plucked up by the roots.” (Matthew 15:13). One of the questions of self-examination is, ‘what has been planted?’ Everything that is necessary to keep you from the fullness of the salvation package. The tares of the enemy have been planted to grow up with the wheat to work against the Word of God producing the harvest of anti-Word systems.

                Everything that God said is written in His Word with the power for us to become that Word. The delay in the manifestation is caused by not mixing the Word with faith. We will not profit or benefit from any of His promises if there is no absolute trust and leaning of your entire personality in confidence in His absolute power and authority. “Those people in the wilderness heard God’s good news, just as we have heard it, but the message they heard didn’t do them any good since it wasn’t combined with faith.” (Hebrews 4:2 The Voice).

            This article is being written while I am in preparation for Pentecost. This is the second year of preparation after the Passover, on which there was a blood moon occurrence. There is a knowing that something new is coming in the wind of the Holy Spirit.  There will be secrets and treasures of revelation that will be released. Resting in God is the opportunity for Him to do something new in you. “Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19).

            I have an earnest expectation of His glory manifesting like no other time. I am looking for ridiculous miracles exceedingly beyond what I can ask or think, and suddenly! I am looking for the flow of the Holy Spirit to be undeniably and notably tangible with increase. The atmosphere will be charged for the manifestation and evidence of His power and authority. Let’s not keep Him waiting!
