The organ that is vital in the natural as well as the spirit is the heart. The Word says that the heart is deceitfully wicked. (Jeremiah 17:10). Many Believers cry out for a “clean heart and a renewal of the right spirit” without realizing the depth of the cleansing that is needed. (Psalm 51:10).

          We must continually seek the Lord about the condition of the heart. The fall of Adam opened the door of the heart to the various devices that the enemy uses to steal, kill and destroy. The enemy is after your potential to become, to arrive at the destiny that God has ordained for you. He does not want that which God has hidden on the inside of you to manifest. In fact, you really have no idea of all that has been deposited and activated because of your position in the Kingdom.

          Deception has been used to keep many from the realization of how great a destiny that is lying dormant on the inside. The enemy is relentless in his attack even through deposits of contamination. Recently, I found a scripture that opened my eyes to my heart. “He answered, Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be torn up by the roots.” (Matthew 15:13). The cry for a clean heart is different now.

          Meditating on this scripture immediately led me to think about the parable of the wheat and tares. This parable is usually viewed from a kingdom perspective for the Body of Christ. But I wanted to use it for a personal application. What has been planted in the field of my heart by the enemy? Searching and finding many things which are denied because of pride and then there are the unknown with roots, all which can only be dug out with the Word of God for deliverance. Admission for transparency is easier said than done.

          Tares are defined as troublesome, noxious weed that are harmful to your well being that corrupts with a poisonous stench. Along the journey of life, the enemy looks at many places to plant tares in your path seeking to destroy your destiny before it even unfolds. We are not born with rejection, anger, fear, insecurities, jealousy, or perversion. At some point along the journey, the enemy came in and found a place to plant for future growth.

          Have you ever known someone that is always harsh in speech or must always be in control? Approaching them about the behavior they exhibit would be a futile attempt because the response would be “that is the way that I am or you really don’t know me.”  The "you" that we see and experience I not the "you" that God created and planned for "you" to be. Even though there is the born again experience which transforms the spirit, the flesh does not submit. Sadly, Believers can sit in the atmosphere of the anointing of God and there be no change. If you ever recognize the tares, ask God to go deep to take it out especially if it is hindering you from becoming a vessel to be used for the Kingdom.

          Everything that the enemy has deposited within your heart has been designed to come against the faith that was delivered and written. It is time to go deep so that we can go high and launch out beyond the comfort zone where we have been too long. Instead of seeking the Father about your needs (which He has daily taken care of) ,why not seek Him about the condition of the heart?  He knows your needs and you know your needs. He knows the depth of your heart that you do not know. In this time, there are deposits in the wind of the Holy Spirit that are no longer quickly approaching, but are upon us. Pursue Him passionately for the truth of your heart.
