Living in Myrtle Beach, S.C., I have just had the experience of Hurricane Matthew and the protection of the Lord. I did not evacuate and there was some damage to my roof and minimal to my deck. The most amazing thing about the whole experience is that I came out of the storm with a WORD from GOD. It is important to not come out of anything empty handed. Even though you have the victory, come out with an addition in revelation.

            During the storm, there was a large cedar tree next to the deck that was wavering. I began to decree and declare that the tree would not crash onto the deck.  I commanded the angels that were assigned to me to hold the tree. One time I came back to look out and the tree was leaning over the deck. I observed that the leaning was increasing. The final time that I looked out, the tree was lying on the back of the deck being held up and resting on one of the branches. Now this was a huge tree that completely took over the whole deck. I never heard a crash or any sound that would indicate that the tree had fallen. Hallelujah!

            I had a private praise-a-thon and sent out messages with pictures and there was one reply that exploded in my spirit. I was told that I am in “God’s Witness Protection Program.” Glory to GOD! Then I heard in my spirit about God watching over His Word because of the Word that is written within me. It is not written with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on stone, but my heart. He is watching. “ Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.” (2 Corinthians 3:3 KJV).

            The knowledge that He, El Elyon is watching over the WORD that is within, sent me on a search for the scripture which I found in Jeremiah 1:12. Meditating on different versions heightened the revelation that came forth. The King James Version says “I will hasten my word to perform it.” The Amplified says that “I am alert and actively, watching over My word to fulfill it.”  The Message says “I’ll make every word I give you come true .” My thoughts were that as a living epistle, I must be carrying something that is important for the Kingdom.

            A person who is a witness sees, knows and gives evidence personally. Similar to giving testimony, a witness takes the stand.  Believers must constantly take a stand against the wiles of the enemy. We cannot cast away our confidence in our GOD. Declare and decree that you will not be shaken. “I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8 AMP).

            Witnesses are chosen for a special purpose to be used as God’s instruments in the earth. There is a “High Calling” to do His work, speak out for Him, and proclaim His wonder. Even though you are chosen as a witness, do not forget that the fiery trial that comes along with the position. One has to be tested, tried, and proved for the quality of your witness. Ask God to open your eyes to see from HIS perspective. “Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.” (1 Peter 4:12-13 The Message).

“You are My witnesses; You are My proof.

You whom I chose for special purpose, My servant,
        in order that you would know Me, trust Me, be faithful to Me,
    Understand that I alone am God; no god was formed before Me,
        and there will be no god after Me.”
