Earlier this year during a Bible study, a scripture was read out of the Message version and the words have been sounding aloud for me. It was Romans 8:15-17, and the words were ‘What’s Next Papa?’  I have been speaking those words since that day and even with a hashtag on my social media accounts. #WhatsNEXTPapa. I am literally asking my Father about His plan for the journey that He has me on, because I know that there is more to come.

          We know and understand from Jeremiah 29:11, that He has thoughts and plans for us. Some of His plans are overwhelming and even unbelievable for us to the point that we cannot even imagine or comprehend. So, He cannot share them. “I have so much more to tell you but it is too much for you to accept now.” John 16:12 ERV. Another version say that you cannot absorb or even handle what He has planned.

          Remember He has told us in the Word that our thoughts are no way to be compared to His. “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.”  God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.”  Isaiah 55:8-9 MSG. How can we think the way that our Creator thinks except by revelation through the Holy Spirit? And even then, it is not the fullness of the matter. We must always continue to strive for our minds to be renewed by the word so that we can be continually transformed to not think the way that the world thinks. Seek Him for an elevated mindset.

          It is time to ask the Lord to prepare you for His plans. His plans have already been prepared before you even breathed to live one day. If He has prepared all the days of your life, He has prepared the instructions for the direction. Take time to ask and not try to figure everything out on your own. Ask Him about everything that is on His mind and heart concerning you.

          Listen intently for His voice and be willing to learn even thought the instruction may not make sense to you, but is will make faith from the results. “But God has selected for His purpose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, revealing their ignorance, and God has selected for His purpose the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong revealing their frailty.” 1 Corinthians 1:27 AMP.

          Have you made a plan without consulting Him? We have a tendency to do this daily and for our future. What is the effect of your plan on His plan? Does it cause and produce a domino effect of delay or misdirection? Our Father waits for us to ask Him to put us on the path to stay in tune with His plan and keep our footsteps on that path as we move forward.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.
