How to behave for our children's sake, in these troubled days ahead.
Don't continue to look only at the circumstances.
Instead keep your main focus on God. Yes we
will watch in sorrow and pray and wait and watch,
but through it all we must remember the children.
It will be hard to do, but the alternative is harder.
We have a duty to our youth and must set proper
examples. We must use wisdom. We must think
before we act.
We can't harden our hearts, but must soften them for
the sake of the children who will have to live in this
world long after we are gone. The children need our
guidance. We must be strong and steadfast as an
example for them They do not understand, and we must
keep up our normal routine as best we can, with calm and
showing them that we have FAITH and HOPE.
This is the time to renew our acquaintance with the Bible.
God has given us words to comfort us, in times like
these. Here are just a few:
"Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:5-7,9).
"You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word." ( Psalm 119:114)
"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning. That we through the PATIENCE and COMFORT of the SCRIPTURES might have HOPE" (Romans 15:4 )
" Therefore brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. ˜ (2 Thessalonians 2:15-17
"Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work." (2 Thessalonians 2:15-17)
I pray you and your families will make use of the words and precepts God has blessed us with to
get through any trial and tribulation that we may face. They are all covered in His book, the Holy Bible.
