Writing a book? Need some help? New website for writers who don't know where to start.

In early 2008 I attended a writer’s group in Plymouth, Massachusetts in order to meet some fellow authors and learn a few new tricks of the trade. To my surprise I was the most accomplished writer in attendance. Within only a couple meetings I began moderating the group, sharing my stories of failure and success and inspiring others to be bold and keep pushing forward. What I discovered was I have a lot of experience to share with those who are just starting out as fledgling authors. Five often turbulent years as a self-published author has driven me into international magazines and onto the front pages of newspapers. These are places where very few authors find themselves.

Back when I started there were so many questions to be asked and no one to answer them. Print on Demand technology was still in its infancy, there were no pathways for new writers to follow. All of the online retail outlets, distributors and bookstores were just starting to discover us. Like many others I started this journey alone but I would have loved to have had a mentor, someone who knew just a little more than I did. It would have made the journey so much easier and less costly. I had to learn these lessons the hard way but you don’t have to. You can benefit from my experiences.

During these last five years almost half of all the correspondence I have received has been from writers who are looking for advice. They want to know how to write books, how to self-publish and how to market their works. Since the need continues to grow for this type of information, I have started a new website with this purpose in mind. www.MyUNeditedLife.com is a treasure trove of Unconventional Wisdom for Aspiring Authors.
