A LITTLE MYSTERY TO FIGURE OUT

It's great being a poet, you can write what you want, whether it's fact or fiction. You can be as wild or mild, tame as you must or torrid as you dare.

There are no gossip tabloids, no paparazzi to deal with. There are only poetry boards and readers who like to guess at who and what you are and how you spend your real life. Some people think you live everything you write and write everything you live! If that was true I'd be dead by now by pure exhaustion or a sexually transmitted disease.

For a romance writer I believe a little mystery can be a beneficial thing, after all, aren't we supposed to be scandalously decadent and extremely experienced in the ways of love?

We always smell like French perfume and we're ALWAYS, ready and able to make love. We wear silk, satin and lace everyday and never take off our black stockings or stiletto heels even when, especially when, having sex, which is often and with many. Or so the story goes.

You never know from one week to the next which dashing poet we will be enjoying a steamy affair with or how many broken hearts lie scattered in the tawdry path we've traveled.

Yes a little mystery is good, even indispensible for readers who so enjoy reading the exploits of bad girls and fallen women.
