What's really real is what makes
you what you are today...

What is really real?

I know I wake up every day. That is real. The world I face starts

with an alarm clock. And almost immediately wanting to turn over

and go back to sleep.

When the world gets too real for me, I take a walk.

There were times in my life that were so bleak that

I sometimes had to cover my ears just so I could not hear

my own heart beating. I have been there.

Times when I was at a new school and my best

friend handed me a note saying  "the whole class

hates you", then running away laughing.  Times when

my mother did not understand me and her old fashioned

advice just didn't cut it in my world.  But now, I would give

anything just for five minutes to talk to her.

It's funny how you don't appreciate people until they

are not around anymore. Kindness, no matter how

well intentioned, is sometimes resented.

Its a cold world sometimes.

Cold. Heartless and Selfish.

I can't let myself fall down

and even if I do, that's okay.

I will get back up again.

The best gift anyone can give to themselves

is self esteem.

It is the kind of stuff that does not come easy. It comes

from falling down a few times and getting back up.

Facing the enemy and laughing at doubt.

No shame in your heart

Only smiles and anticipation

For the today that you create

And the tomorrow that

is yours and yours

Alone.

Don't let anyone

crush your dream

with their small minded

words....

Talk is cheap

What is hot today

Is Not Tommorrow.

Just stand tall

And be proud of who you are

No matter what brand of clothes your wear

it matters not

You are beautiful

In your soul

Because

There is no one

quite like you

On this whole

Big Beautiful Earth!!

Remember that!

And Smile

Have a beautiful day

And don't ever let

anyone tell you

you ain't good enough!

You sure are!

And yes you Can!!!

Be You

Absolutely wonderful, no matter how hard it is or how many times I have to get up, wounded pride is only a sin. My new found Self Esteem teeters at times, but I know who I am, beautiful from the inside out. Thank you for writing, Katie. Warmth and Love to you.
