Yes, I know what you're thinking, how can you write a suspense, murder mystery without blood and guts. It's really quite simple, let the reader fill in the blanks.
Do you really want to read in detail of the gore that comes from a person being blown up by an explosive device? Most people do not. My goal is to write just enough for you to play the book out in your mind like a movie. The exact way that I write.
I want you to put a face to the major character. I want you to visualize the beautiful city of Antwerp as a car chase moves through one Belgium street after another. I want you to live the book, not just read it.
I hope that's what happens when you read my books and as always I would love to hear from you and your thoughts on my work - for good or bad.
I will have to read your works; yes, mystery/suspense books can be rated G. You have your kids' mystery/fiction, and then you have Christian fiction. A lot of those can be rated G too or possibly PG. It's not impossible. Good article, W.C.!
