God is overseeing his work on earth and has entrusted lost humanity into our hands but we need help for we cannot do it alone.
(Mark 2:3-4) (3) "And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four." (4) "And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay."
(John 15:1) "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman."
Dear Saints, notice these two scriptures for they are very important in the delivery of this message and they are very special to me for when I was first called into the ministry, I received an invitation to speak in a large Baptist church upon receiving the invitation, made a trip to visit my grandfather who was a very well known minister of the gospel.
Beloved, he took me aside and quoted the above verses to me and said that he felt like that would be where I needed to start studying and when I asked him to explain, he began to speak to me about how Jesus is the vine in God's vineyard and Father God is the land owner and caretaker of this vineyard.
Saints, my grandfather began to expound to me on the man who was lame in his feet and how four of his friends had compassion on him and carried him to the house where Jesus was, for word had gotten out that the Lord was in the house causing people to show up till there was no room for anyone else to get in.
Beloved, I was well familiar with these verses but then the wisdom of my grandfather kicked in and he said, "My son, God is overseeing his work on earth and has entrusted lost humanity into our hands but we need help for we cannot do it alone, and just as the lame man had no way of getting to Jesus, especially because of the large crowd of people that had gathered in the house till there was no room for anybody else to get in to see Jesus, we need help in doing God's work."
Dear Saints, notice how these four men loved the man that was crippled in his feet enough, that they climbed up on the roof of the house and removed part of the roof to let their friend down with ropes into the place where the Lord was teaching.
Dear Saints, I will never forget the morning when I made the trip to that church believing God that he was going to use me to set some people free, and just as the Senior Pastor handed me the microphone, somebody next door started up a lawn mower.
Beloved, I was so upset that I closed my bible and walked out the doors of that church to go preach to that lawnmower, and just as my feet walked out that door, the Holy Ghost descended upon me and I began to preach but beloved, I was not aware that ninety-nine people from that church was following me.
Dear Saints, I was so high in the spirit that I was blurry in my vision but I remember drunks coming out of their homes where I was preaching and I remember one of them looking up at me like he had seen a ghost with his whisky spilling out of the glass because of his shaking hand.
Beloved, I remember seeing the flashing of blue lights from the police cars but for some reason, they never stayed around I later learned that they said that the city did not have enough money to get them to attempt to interrupt me, and now more than thirty years later while ministering in other countries, I have been informed by the Spirit of God that I am in the last stages of training for where he is taking me.
Saints, can you use your imagination and picture the scene of the meeting in this house and remember that God's word alerts us that it was known that the Lord was in the house causing the people to come from everywhere till there was not enough room for anyone else to get in but when these men heard that the Lord was in the house, they decided together that regardless of the circumstances, they were going to get their crippled friend to Jesus?
Saints, can you imagine what was going through the home owner's minds as they watched pieces of their home fall in around the people there maybe thinking, "I did not know that letting Jesus in my home was going to get it torn up?"
Beloved, can you imagine what nearby neighbors thought hearing noises coming from this house, maybe thinking, "Did the former owners sell their home without telling anybody for we have never heard anything like this before?
Dear Saints, little is much if God is in it and the bottom line is we need to stop allowing the natural to be a measuring stick for the supernatural for our God is not limited or bound by the law of physics, nature, or time.
