(John 1:16-17) (16) "And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace." (17) "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."

As Tin and I start into a new year, Lord, we want to thank you, Lord, for your Salvation by grace through faith, and we ask that you keep reminding us of your Supreme sacrifice and the awful price you paid for our redemption.

May all our songs, praise, prayers, communion services, preaching, and giving reflect upon the mercy of God seen in Jesus Christ the Son, which can be better illustrated by comparing the law to grace.

Let’s do an illustration of the law and grace that we may glean from this study to help us understand the finished work of the Lord concerning grace.

Beloved, let’s say a man tries to fill the void in his life by living it up in the world, and although there is pleasure in sin for a season, he soon discovers he is unhappy.

There is still a void in his life, and he is uncertain about what tomorrow may bring, especially with all the hate and violence taking place in a fallen world looking for answers and a reason to live.

Beloved, let’s say the man in our story makes an appointment to see Dr. Law and is told that he has a sin problem and that to fix the problem, he needs a new heart.

Beloved, because of our sinful nature, man’s heart is continually evil, and we are destined to die.

Let’s say that after the diagnosis, Dr. Law tells him that to cure his problem, he needs a heart transplant.

The man leaves and joins a local church but soon finds he is unhappy.

His life was filled with wine and women, the party life, and now joining a church has done nothing but make him unhappy, feeling empty inside, used, and confused.

After trying everything and nothing seems to work, he goes back to see Dr. Law and asks to have the transplant.

Dr. Law informs him that he cannot do the surgery and makes him an appointment with Dr. Grace, who is not only able to give him the transplant but is able and eager to introduce him to his donor, "Jesus Christ."

Somebody better give him some praise up here today."

Beloved, the man is now happy; he is feeling different, and there is so much joy in his life that was once void and empty but is now starting to make sense, even giving him hope for a better tomorrow.

Excited about his new life, the man makes an appointment to see Dr. Law and notices something different about him.

The man asks Dr. Law, "Why were you so stern and mean with me before, but now you are greeting me with a smile?

Dr. Law replies with a smile on his face that before the transplant, you were guilty of the blood of Jesus in breaking God’s commandments because of the sin passed on man through the fall of Adam.

Now that you have had your heart transplant, You, through the mercy and shed blood of the lamb of God, "Have fulfilled my requirements and have been declared righteous in the eyes of our Holy God."

Grace shows how much God loves his most incredible creation and that he is willing to pardon and forgive through his son's virgin birth, life, death, burial, and resurrection, whom he raised and made both Lord and Christ.

Thank God for his wonderous grace to His people that is continuous, never exhausted, and knows no boundaries.

Christ Jesus did all that for us, and we pledge throughout this year and the rest of our lives to be a dedicated Holy Sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true , standing on my favorite scripture.

(Psalms 19:14) "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O' Lord my strength and my redeemer." A-Men
