Jonnie Liang, now 10 years old was diagnosed with Lupus SLE (Lupus Systemic Erythematosus) when she was just 7. Lupus is an auto-immune illness that causes ones own system to attack itself. Already, it has attacked her heart and lungs, where she needed 2 surgeries to drain over 450 mls of fluid from the surrounding areas. Jonnie takes daily steriods and immunosuppressants, as well as monthly chemotherapy treatments. She is now on her 3rd year of chemotherapy. Jonnie is a strong, positive and amazing girl, who is writing a book.

The Make A Wish Foundation has graciously granted her wish to swim with the dolphins in Hawaii. Make A Wish sent Jonnie and her entire family to Oahu for 6 days. They had also waited for Mom's treatment for breast cancer to finish, a mastectomy and chemotherapy, so she too can enjoy Jonnie's wish come true .
