Democrat hypocrisy reaches a climax in record time.

Time was, that Democrats would wait for their promises to be forgotten before allowing them to be exposed as lies. But this is new era of overt fraudulence and unrestrained hostility, and liberals are desperate to reclaim power.

Incoming House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave a speech this week in which she promised transparency and bipartisanship after accepting the speaker's gavel from Republican Congressman Kevin McCarthy. Let us recall that "transparency" was the well-worn and swiftly broken promise made by former presidents Bill Clinton in 1992 and Barack Hussein Obama in 2008.

Striking was Pelosi's promise of bipartisanship. For no sooner had she made the statement than she announced at a press conference before a crowd of hungry news media politicos, "There will be no [border] wall." Not only did the Congresswoman demonstrate stunning duplicity and contempt, but she simultaneously issued a challenge to President Trump and the American people which the latter appear eager to accept.

Illegal immigration is a polarizing issue, and that, in itself, is a sad fact of our time. Why should enforcement of our laws be opposed by any political party for any reason? Polls indicate that there is widespread and overwhelming public support for a border wall and strict immigration enforcement, despite media efforts to bury the facts.

Americans want a border wall and they shall have it. When it comes to immigration enforcement, Democrats are locked into a doomed battle against – not just the president, but also a majority of the people. The cost of uncontrolled intrusion into the United States is rising in terms of wasted American lives, as well billions of wasted tax dollars. Illegal immigration costs taxpayers an estimated $150 billion per year in public services, welfare, law enforcement, and healthcare.

The Christmas murder of Newman, California, police officer Corporal Ronil Singh is just the latest in a long series of needless and preventable tragedies perpetuated by Democrat obstinance and election tampering, which their media allies have attempted to hide. But preventable murders and child sexual abuse have a way of breaking through walls of silence, as we have seen with the sex scandals involving the Catholic church, Hollywood, and the news media.

Nancy Pelosi and her cadre of political henchmen are seemingly blinded by hatred for President Trump. Her conciliatory speech notwithstanding, she and her lieutenants will call for endless investigations as they did during the last half of the second term of former-president George W. Bush. Their rhetoric will become increasingly incendiary and absurd. There will be no bipartisan efforts on the part of the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives unless and until the people make their voices heard.

Liberal Democrats are becoming dangerous. As stated in a National Review article by Peter Kirsanow, the Government Accounting Office (GAO) statistics on crimes committed by illegal aliens reflect artificially low numbers for three main reasons: Victims who are themselves illegally in the U.S. are less likely to report crimes against them. Also, illegal aliens charged with criminal offenses often fail to appear in court after being arrested. Finally, GAO crime statistics do not include acts of fraud committed entering the country or gaining fake social security numbers or driver's licenses.

Crime figures can be disputed by dishonest, self-proclaimed authorities like FactCheck, Snopes, and the ACLU, but the essential fact is that illegal immigration is a federal crime. Nothing more needs to be said. Additional crimes that result from illegal entry only serve to make the problem more horrific.

In the 1960s, civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. welcomed the judgment of the character of his own children, as measured by a standard rather than by skin color. This kind of judgment is helpful and necessary. Contrary to distorted liberal indoctrination, assessment of character by a clear written standard or oath is valid and obligatory. It is also far too uncommon. The fact that Democrats refuse to enforce our laws testifies to the quality of their character, and Democrats are found lacking.

The United States House of Representatives does not belong to the Democrat Speaker or to any political party, nor does the Speaker's office; they belong to the American people. As Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence, "[M]ankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed...."

But once an intolerable threshold is reached, the American people will reclaim Congress, their government, and the courts from the hands of those who demonstrate strident contempt for the people they profess to represent. Indeed, any government that is incapable or unwilling to enforce its own laws must be thrown off.

How the stalemate ends between Democrats and the Left versus President Trump and the people over funding for the border wall remains to be seen, but the future prospects for bicephalous Speaker Pelosi and her band of miserable radicals do not look good.
