The conspicuously missing perspective on protests and race riots and the real reason for COVID19 and the endless series of controversies.

By now, it’s become clear what the next weeks and months will bring. The past three years have been fraught with bogus scandals, concocted crises and constant specious controversies brought into our homes by an unaccountable network and social media sources. All of these have one unifying purpose—to break the back of the United States and lynch President Trump.

The dubious timing of widespread organized race riots following on the heels of America’s reopening from the Corona scare has been the subject of many reports and articles. Skepticism is highly warranted in these dark days. What may be lost in the emotion-driven outrage over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis is the fact that the few seconds of cell phone video aired repeatedly by media networks do not tell the whole story and may not present an accurate account at all.

It appears that little has been learned from Rodney King’s arrest and the ensuing riots in Los Angeles. Nor has Michael Brown’s tragic death in Ferguson, Missouri altered the fake news narrative perpetrated by professional prevaricators. Encounters with police are serious and potentially dangerous, demanding caution—not belligerent confrontation. Most Americans rarely or never have any contact with police. But when they do, the vast majority are polite and non-violent.

Watch any real life police documentary or ride along with a local police officer and you will learn what these men and women are confronted with routinely. When illegal drugs or weapons are discovered by police in a suspect’s possession, the detainee never seems to know how they got there. The miraculous appearance comes as a complete surprise to the suspect.

Perhaps we ask too much from police and law enforcement officers who perform an unenviable job that most of us would never want. Candidates must be physically fit, knowledgeable of criminal and civil law and of impeccable character.

If commissioned, officers are subject to being called to duty at any moment, work schedules interrupted by counter-productive politically-mandated sensitivity training sessions and sudden changes in legal standards. In their duties, police are lied to, cursed at, bitten, kicked, spit upon. While in uniform, police officers risk being shot by the very people they protect. In every encounter, their words and actions will be scrutinized by unqualified and unscrupulous media critics and trial lawyers. They are expected to endure these offenses without seeking revenge and for less compensation than public school teachers. 
   
Democrats in Washington and their media conspirators along with some sleazy community organizers and Black Lives Matter thugs, would have us believe that there has been no progress in race relations since the 1960s. These instigators of violence pretend to be above reproach. But they aren’t. Actually, they are the problem.

Respect for the public and the police is a two-way street. Suspects and citizens who demonstrate contempt for the police will be met with increasingly measured firm force. Combative criminals will suffer overwhelming force and possible injury. As former radio talk show host, Ken Hamblin, aka, The Black Avenger, used to say, “A cop cannot lose a street fight.” His life depends on it. Ken Hamblin is a former police officer from one of the worst neighborhoods in New York, Bedford-Stuyvesant.

News networks love a hero story, even an invented one and George Floyd has become their champion. In what has become routine political deceit, the full facts of the police action involving George Floyd will not be disclosed by national or local media until a trial, if then.

Minneapolis police appear to have used excessive force against George Floyd and may have caused his death. If so, the officers involved should be subjected to the justice system that they betrayed. But if news media illusionists insist on trying the officers in public, the people acting as the jury are entitled to know all of the events that transpired immediately prior to Floyd’s arrest not merely the last few seconds.

The highly popular television program, COPS has just been canceled. What possible purpose is served by depriving people of the ability to see for themselves what real-life police actions are like? And why are those who claim that the public has a right to know facts favorable to their ideology, hiding so many others that are not?

Truth is essential to right thinking, peaceful living, eternal life, and to justice in our courts. The willingness to seek truth and the ability to separate fact from fiction are indispensable skills today. America is locked into a life-and-death struggle between those who love the truth and deal with it honestly and those who distort, conceal and misinterpret truth for self-serving means.

Injustice, violence and destruction are the inevitable artifacts of a culture that loves its lies. Whether or not America endures to the end of the decade will be determined by whether truth prevails over raw emotionally empowered opinions of wicked men and women. Truth seekers question what lesser folks casually accept without thoughtful analysis.
