My name is Angeline Bandon-Bibum.
Where are you from?
I am originally from Atlantic City, New Jersey. However, I live in Silver Spring, Maryland.
What is your profession and educational background?
I am a Help Desk Analyst by day, and I am a writer by night. I graduated from Howard University in 1988, with a Bachelor of Arts.
What is your mission?
I want to complete a trilogy, as an author. I have completed the first book of my trilogy. That is a novel entitled Sojourner's Dream.
How do you plan to accomplish your goals?
One day at a time.
What do you see yourself doing five years from now? Ten years from now?
Five years from now, I want to be visiting my son in college, in his sophomore year. Ten years from now, I want to be attending the college graduation of my oldest daughter.
My goal is to have completed my trilogy by then, too.
How do you determine or evaluate success?
Success is personal and individualized for me. It does not have to conform to popular standards. It can be a feeling of accomplishment based on what has positive value for a person. For me, success is caring for my family, being a productive and compassionate person, and writing as much as I can. Persistence is my best tool for success.
What inspires you?
Positive expressions of talent, love, and art inspire me.
What is your contribution to society?
My children and my books are both my labor of love.
What is your idea of happiness?
Feeling good about oneself and caring about other people are starting points.
Are you doing what you really want to do in life?
I am doing what I want because I am growing with my family, working for their security, and pursuing my writing aspirations.
What do you consider to be your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
I am a little introverted, and that does not seem to be in my favor. I think my love of the written word is a strength.
How would a good friend describe you?
Introverted.
Are religious or spiritual beliefs a vital part of your life?
Yes. Spiritually is where my strength and motivation come from.
