Apopka My Town Magazine is proud to announce that we were part of the Media/Press team to witness Mayor John H. Land, Mayor of Apopka, put a Proclamation down in the history records book of the City.
The Honorable Mayor John H. Land hereby officially proclaimed April as Autism month in the City of Apopka.
When a Mayor makes a Proclamation in a city, and reads it before the community with the City Seal affixed to the document, it then becomes part of the history of that city and its records forever.
For years to come, future Mayors will look back and see that Mayor Land made this Proclamation and it shall be followed. Mayor Land made this Proclamation to Amy Sellers on behalf of her non profit charity foundation, Out of the Rain Society.
Amy sellers has been reaching out to help others, and is a vital part of the community. Amy Sellers, founder of Out of the Rain Society, is on a mission to raise money to benefit those affected by autism.
Her story is remarkable. It is one of triumph over victory and faith over fear and frustration. Her story gives hope and encouragement to all.
