Elvis was inspired by meeting the Beatles. He told Geller, “I have to do something on my own. No Hollywood. No Colonel Tom.” Elvis finished the movie and was driving back to Memphis in his mobile home. Elvis always drove. Geller was always sitting next to him. The other guys were in cars behind them.

Driving through Arizona on a pitch-black night, Elvis put in an 8-track of Roy Orbison and sang along with ‘Only the Lonely’. Then he turned the tape off and said, “I’ve got it. I’m going to record a gospel music album. And if it helps just one person, I’ll be happy.”

In the recording studio, Elvis told Geller, "I don’t want to use my regular ‘Elvis voice’. I don’t want my ego to be there. I want my soul to be there.”

They meditated and then Elvis recorded the album How Great Thou Art. It won a Grammy. All because Elvis met the Beatles.
